Please stop. Ever seen when Yoko Ono and Lennon performed with Chuck Berry—and Yoko screamed or something awful during the song? These toys are like that; sure, you’re being creative, and someone other than yourself might like it—but don’t.

these “toy” makers are (to me) just trying to reproduce the Nag formula; make something provocative, be obscure, be lottery, be lots of money.

it’s like they shit on the scene or subject material they borrow from while trying to promote it. It’s lost on me.

We have the backbone, the courage and the moral fiber to resist Evil. But we are helpless in the face of the tidal hordes of Fugly. Was that some sort of AC/DC tribute that I saw back up the page? Angels would weep for us but they are snickering behind the wizard sleeves of their robes.

 

This one is bugging me. The bright green thing with the chainsaw and detached mouth (?) from a few days ago seems to be giving a heavy nod at the movie

Some great craftsmanship on display here, and that clear shoulder is nifty, but fugly character design renders it all moot.

 

Are a lot of these pix just virtual renderings with no actual toy in hand until public reaction has been guaged? I hope so.

 

None of the toys on this page look like renders to me.

Not saying it's not ugly, but I dig that Mega Man.

 

Can you explain why you like it or what’s appealing about it? I’m genuinely interested. I can get behind weird looking monster toys, but when I see that Mega Man homage toy I just see mega man with an ugly cartoonish (but also weirdly hyper-realistic) caricature of Simon Pegg with a nosebleed. It doesn’t look like a soft vinyl toy- I couldn’t tell you by looking at it what the base color vinyl is, for instance. Probably white if I made an educated guess. It’s also not painted in a traditional soft vinyl style. Both of which are big draws to me when I see a soft vinyl toy I like. To me it’s too detailed, or rather too sharp in its details for a soft vinyl toy. What about it do you dig? No judgement, just wondering.
