Hey everyone This year my son is again competing in the Tap Cancer Out BJJ charity event. If it’s at all possible any and all donations help. Like last year all donations go to Alex’s Lemonade Stand. It’s a very reliable and respected children’s cancer fund. If you do decide to donate there is set donations, but you can change them to what ever amount you’d like. I’m honestly quite surprised that this thread has only gotten a few replies and almost no donations. This is very sad. This is a charity for childhood cancer. Come on people you can spend hundreds on vinyl toys but can’t donate 10 dollars to a very admirable charity ? Please, take the time to donate ! Please don’t let this thread fade into nothing.

A reminder this is still active. There has been almost no donations for the SB community. People can shit on IG, but it’s been by far the most giving community so far. Please don’t let this be the end result. It’s for children’s cancer research. Just a donation of 10 dollars adds up. Pleases help us donate to a good cause.
Come on you cheap bastards, give up some money. You’ll sit up till 4 in the morning refreshing a webpage every 2.3 seconds to by some $500+ useless vinyl toy, I am guilty of this also, but god forbid you give a couple bucks that might help save some kids life through research somewhere down the line. and before anyone wants to talk shit, I was one of the first people to donate when @Rich posted on IG.
Lol I don’t think it’s about being cheap, I’m cheap as hell and still donated. Some people just suck.
I find it funny that some members will post in every thread with their opinion on just about anything. But add in asking for a small donation for children’s cancer for a child who is gonna compete for it and all the sudden crickets. They will post in threads above or below but aviod this. Or others here that have asked me to donate to their charity but haven’t yet to mine. This is truly sad. These people should look good and hard in the mirror.
As sad as it is you probably would have hit your goal within an hour if you included some MVH doodad. Sad some people can’t do the right thing with sufficient bribery. I donated what my cheapest MVH toy I bought was recently: a marbled flying freak. Hell, just toss in a sludgie’s worth at this point. Consider it an investment in good karma if nothing else. Probably make you feel as good as scoring something!
Keep this thread positive for stamping out cancer because comments like... "haven’t yet (donated) to mine it" can come across and be misconstrued as a guilt trip. It's a worthy cause so let it speak for itself. Money will come in. Just give it time. People frequent the hype threads and not everyone sees the inherent good ones. Stay positive. It's a kick ass thing to do.
Bump, it's both an excellent cause and a brave thing for Devin to take on. I'll be donating a second time come payday, one for IG and one for Skullbrain. Hoping more members join me too
