Roger, some crazy colors on that pachi kaiju. It could almost pass for a modern toy.

You're right Mark, it could pass for a figure of Target Earth. I've only seen a few of them at auctions but they always go for a high price.

^^^Really nice! I've seen a few, and they always fetch a pretty penny!
Speaking of pretty pennies, did anyone catch the group of Toygraph Racers? They also finished much higher than I thought they would, especially the blue Gamera and Earthtron!

Jeepers! The prices have either really inflated over a couple of years, or else these were very popular listings!

I always follow the racer auctions. They have been hitting that high for a few years now.

Yikes! I think I completed most of my racers, when the max prices were in the 8000 - 14000 range!

I am always trying to get a couple more ... they are just so pricey now. I have a couple of detolfs with some real nice stuff displayed at my office, there is about 8 racers lined up on one of the shelves and people always ask about them specifically.

There's something about monsters driving cars, and plus they are extra cute! :D I think I'm just missing the blue Gezora (squiddie) and red-chested Moguera ;)

That price on the Sunguts racer is crazy. It's not even that old.

I know! I was going to bid on it, until it reached the crazy level! I remember sometime 2014, when I was seaching for the Black Booska and Kanegon set. Rotofugi had one set left over, that sat around in his web store for a long time for a bargain! :)

A great set of unopened Osato finger puppets, went for a whopping 51100 yen!

Toy Angel has remarked that a shelf full of these would compliment a shelf full of butas, very nicely! :D

Oh wow, Grace, yet another killer piece of vintage Ultra header card artwork on that set.

I don't even dare get into the finger puppet game, or even those racers!

    I sincerely love this creature!

It is fairly chunky and has lots of weird pachi charm. Along with a remake of the original color, there are a few variations in color that were made from the vintage molds of this creature. Mr. Sato (Target Earth) had bought the vintage mold and reproduced it as one if the Hukkokudo "Space Kaiju"

    Steve posted in Hukkokudo thread.

I really love this Detton in the rare green colour. Variants like this always make me think how great it would have been to have a whole slew of vintage minis made up in different colours, and I wonder why Bullmark always seemed so focused on producing one character in a specific colour base, or sometimes too, when the molds were there and these were relatively easier and cheaper to produce. Anyway, the mini version is so nice, he has a really great derpy face I find so lovable, and still loads of detail in the sculpt. The red toes are a very funny touch too. Even the 'common' red version of him commands a fair amount for the line, so probably this will be a long-chaser. A hard to find character, in an excellent variant coloring, and this one has survived in some very good condition packaging for its age, so I'm not surprised it climbed high, but certainly for most of us it would be a lot to drop on a mini toy.

He's definitely a cutie, but ended up surpassing my price range. I wish Bullmark would (as you say Stevie!) make an army of them. Wouldn't they be great in a variety of colors, mixed in amongst a buta herd? The first pic makes me think that little Detty speaks with a lispth!

That is amazing. While I had seen the 'inspiration' figure the Leo Sofvi Bouya drew from (but still think the original far outwieghs the reincarnation) it is actually a shame to see the whole set complete like this, because it just wants me to wish for the other two, which I think are actually even better still. I'd really love a good (in-person) look at the Namegon and Gomess (or maybe that is the Grinch? ;) )KOs. They look phenomenal. The characters are so quirky and imaginative, with the perfect amount of detail, beauty in texturing, remind me of the great stop-motion miniatures of Harryhausen and such. Someone spent some time creating this monster family, and sadly probably never got any credit (leastways probably not the appreciation they deserve), and faded into obscurity. Damn it is really a hefty and impressive set. Expensive, there is no doubt, but man, what a find, give me these in modern form, reproduced in China for pennies and in limitless quantities, and I would still be so happy to have 'em. That is some excellent artwork too, this set is just crying out to be reproduced in a true fashion.

That's a whole lot of coin to pay for some mini blow molds even if they are bagged, but we all spend insane money on these plastic toys so I guess its all relative!

Damn, have to agree. That set is beautiful looking, and i would love to own it. The header is really cool as well . . . . i think i would be in two minds to unbag it, they look so good bagged in a row like that.

I'm a fan of Leo's version (i own one) but i would more than welcome a reissue of this set. The other two sculpts are intriguing, i wonder why there is seemingly so little known about these toys . . .

I'd like a painting of just the header art/backing card! So cool, didn't notice that upon first glance.

I think i'm right in saying that the 'Grinch' head you mentioned is one of the faces on the 2nd head Leo released for his sculpt (the version with the longer arms).

He's very likely a proud owner of that set of three.
