strange or rare yahoo auctions post here (after theyre over)

This went up for auctions three times with an opening bid of 69,800. No bids:

It's a test shot of B-Club's giant Godzilla reissue. As far as I know only three of these made it to the Western hemisphere, one of them went up on eBay. I don't recall the price but I believe it was way less than $700.

 

I think more then 3....

I think that end price is really pretty fair. I've heard of a lot of people paying a great deal more to adopt. And just think, this little girl even comes with here own toys.

Very true Tim. In fact...a buddy of mine scored a blue sweatshirt kid a few years back and paid almost double.

 

I believe one of the legs was broken and also twisted, so that might have hurt the price.

 

When I was in Tokyo for the toy tour, I saw the middle tail section in this pic for $5000 at Mandarake. I couldn't imagine having to try and track down every piece for a single figure. That trip opened my eyes to vintage vinyl. They have so many amazing pieces in store after store after store.






Brain is a toy encyclopedia. I felt like he was Obi Wan and I was Luke fresh off the farm. I had an amazing time.

Yeah, was watching this auction, too. I was wondering what they filled the limbs with. Was it some sort of expanding rigid foam to keep the thing from getting droopy on hot days in store windows?

Jesus... and you ave a second one! Is it really vinyl, just like a standard-sized release? Is it crazy thick vinyl for support? I've heard these can stink for a while after being made, similar to the Kaws big guys. Still, makes one impressive piece... and I bet the glow is unreasonable at night!

 

What really makes that pic for me is the intimidated kitteh.
