Seems like the search is broken. It's only indexing new posts after the crash from earlier today. Anyone having the same issue or is it just me?
I'm going to pachikaiju summit tommorrow. If anyone wants me to pick anything up for them then the usual charges apply. Toy price X 3.5 + Train fare (x 1.5) +lunch fee + waking up early fee ($20). Pms with interest!
No, Knunt is passe. He is Mr Born. The above quote is already at a discount. i would have added the entry fees for pachi summit.
I found a new filtered word! huh. Guess that stupid question won't work.... Can someone point me to where I can get a cheap Bemon? Hows that?
So in all seriousness is the past gone forever? I'd use the search function to see if this has been mentioned yet but.....ok I'll stop
Search seems to be only partially crippled now, but still frustrating. You can use Google to search the board by adding "site:skullbrain.org" (no quotes) to your search terms.
Thanks Roger. I had feared we lost everything forever. Now I can at least successfully search for topics I know were there but now aren't. Any word on when the search will be fixed guys?
is this getting fixed anytime soon?? until then,,nobody can *b*i*t*c*h to others about "use the search function"....
thanks for your google tip roger..but it is still not full-proof,,, i just had to trawl through 150 pages of the wanted section to find an old wanted post which i used to be able to access very easily with the search feature... i don't think google searches topic title,,,only message content
It searches the message title and content. However, I'm surprised that it's able to search wanted/for sale at all because those forums are invisible unless you're logged in, right?
i used the board's search function on a daily basis, and i'm not having much luck with the google search
It's kludgy, but you can restrict searches to specific forums using Google. Go to the Skullbrain main page and point at one of the forums. You will see that the URL for each one ends in "f=(number)". For instance: Japan Toys is f=3 American Idols is f=6 Vintage Vinyl is f=30 For Sale is f=9 Wanted is f-26 Trade Bait is f=28 You can add this value to your search to restrict the search to one forum. So entering this in Google: site:skullbrain.org "jet jaguar" "f=30" Gives you all results for the term "jet jaguar" in the Vintage Vinyl forum. If we can't get the search function fixed soonish I'll see if I can throw together a page that lets you do this more easily. Also, you guys know that you can see all of a given user's posts by visiting their profile page, right? That still seems to work for me.
I find it strange that not one administrator has commented on this problem? Is anything being done to fix it or is just the way it's going to be and the data is lost from this website?
Well, Pogue commented in this thread, but I guess I shouldn't assume that they're working on it. I'll bring it to their attention.
