Nada for me. I was after 2 Sunday passes. I made it into the waiting room number 25,232 but my number never changed.

I wish it could stop being trendy to be a nerd who likes comics and toys. It is ridiculously hard to get into the Con.

Far be it from me to generalise, since I have never had the opportunity to attend, but it seems that, aside from the trend aspect of it, if any exists, it is also likely extremely difficult to get tickets for SDCC merely because of the vast scope of things it encompasses. People attend the con for comics, toys, movies, gaming, cosplay, cards, sci-fi, models, collectables, etc., etc. And just imagine that each of these has a niche group of its own, and there could easily be a large convention separate for each one of these areas, all mashed together in one insane geek-filled weekend. Intense. I can see the demand. In terms of SBers, a toy-specific function would probably be easier to attend and maybe better (but then you would probably miss out on a lot of other cool stuff too :) ).

Anyway, hope lots of our crowd can attend as always. The rest of us are relying on it to live vicariously through you.

It seems more and more like we should Just retire from SDCC and put all our eggs into DCon so it can just big bigger and better and all the heavy hitters can drop toys there

yes and no for me focusing in Dcon will be good for the more relaxed focused aspect, but in the other hand I really enjoy the whole week experience during SDCC of course the toys, cosplay, the sunny san diego, meeting skull brainers and overall the whole package

I was able to score my badge during the pre-sale for SDCC'12 attendees last year!

I get that i just feel like some people only show at SDCC and NYCC and I wish they could make it to Dcon as well

I thought DCon was pretty cool, but making it 2 days is a mistake.

Yeah I'm not sure about 2 days of Dcon either.. One day is great and maybe there's too much to see in one day but not enough for 2 days.
Got pro badges to SDCC. It's crazy how hard its getting for people to get passes, I used to show up on any of the days after 3 and get in for half price! Miss those days..

I agree. They did two days a few years ago and in that case it didnt work because no one was interested in day 2. Things might be different now though - but 2 days starts making it the marathon that SDCC has become, where in addition to coming home penniless, you end up with nerd-flu as a bonus.

DCon this year was just perfect IMO - not insanely crowded, but stuff still sold out. A fun time, and small enough to be spontaneously social. Table costs are also low which encourages some interesting indie stuff.

If anyone has a 4-day pass and isn't staying for Sunday, please get in touch.
    I will be very grateful!

I was able to get passes back in August when they went on sale to the 2012 attendees but I only got Thursday-Saturday.

raising the dead- just confirmed that i will be there all the time, more than likely working full time to pay for the trip, but should have at least one day off and free during the night.

ill be selling posters at the giant poster booth at the right of the con entrance with my brother and his old shop that he used to work for.
