Soooo jealous of that Ultraman exhibit. That would have been an incredible experience to attend. The displays.... just wow. And the fact that there is a case of Butanohana toys right there next to the 'legends' like Bullmark, just goes to show you how impressive and loved Oohashi-san's creations are. :) And that giant guy, wowsers, I am not sure but it looks a lot like it might be a giant version of the King Zaurus Red King, which, if so, is mind-blowing.

Insane Marusan show as well. So many toys there I would love to have had access to, or even just be able to see up close in person. Plus having the retrospective alongside with the vintage versions is a real nice touch to bring the history of these things all together like that. And - alas - another of those Marugacha machines I would happily drop weeks' worth of grocery money on to get some pulls, if only I were able. :| I am sure this was a great time for all the attendees.

Extra props for the Italian contingent of ads you dug up Moog, great stuff, and one of the other places that seems to have especially embraced the craziness of Japanese robots and anime during the '70s and '80s. The clear Exogini versions of the Kinnikuman brings back some memories for me.

Superb scans of those B&W Marusan pages!! You are right, best I have seen yet. @Michael Beverage hit it on the head, this thread is so amazing and just keeps on giving - thanks to you! for @The Moog !!
