Seriously, how good is this show? I was never even a Jason Bateman fan, was bored by Arrested Development, but this show is pretty damn good. I'm through 8 episodes already and just started yesterday. Pretty fucking dark.
"The satisfying sound of your lover smacking the pavement is the only thing that gets me to sleep at night!"
We already saw the first season and overall it is good to spend the weekend watching TV. If you like that kind of series, the serie Narcos from Netflix it comes closer to reality.
So far 4 episodes in and we're enjoying it now that it's settled into it's pace (I think?). Spoiler Episode 1 was jarring with it's fast brutality and setup, but was required to get Marty moving. We took a week-long break (unheard of for Netflix) before resuming...debating if we should continue and just finding time to watch. Glad we did though. Esai Morales is terrifying! I remember him on Jericho as the military captain...big difference in roles. Also, Jason Bateman doesn't age much.
Understandable BCS is getting all the love right now, but this thread has been criminally neglected. The impressive debut last summer left me wondering if the show could keep up the momentum. Halfway through S2 and any worries of a sophomore slump have since faded away. The comparisons to BB are inevitable, but to dismiss Ozark as a knockoff would be a disservice. Gilligan set the bar extremely high with BB & BCS and it's likely they will never be topped. That said, anyone who's fan of the genre should really give this one a shot.
Two episodes in on second season and its starting out strong! Really enjoyed the first season and looking forward to finishing season 2.
