One of the best things about youtube is that the old CMs are pretty much archieved on youtube. I also fought the evil monsters (that were imaginary cause I had no toys of the bad guys) with my Voltes V - Volt in version!!

I've got that commercial on dvd. It came as an extra feature on a dvd set i bought. Brings back memories. I used some mego sized alien figures (can't remember the name) as the bad guys for mine.

    Hey Bert! What's up man?

Although I have seen all of these over the years, the Jumbo cm is just fantastic. Thanks for posting this.

Oh damn...it's the king of karaoke!! Hiro and I went to Festa one night and there was a guy that sang the theme to Yamato (and he was pretty good). I jokingly said...what's next, Mazinger Z. Me and my big mouth...

Damn...and I missed that. You guys really need to move to the east coast, where shit's live!

It's funny--I just posted on Erik's old school anime thread, and I *completely* forgot to mention that I've been watching fansubs of Voltes V while I work out. Hilariously bad, but pretty much the PERFECT thing to watch while exercising to take your mind off that crap...

Thanks for posting these ads, Bert! I know we talked about it before, but I seriously think it's worth not buying toys even for a whole damn year just to save up for a DX Voltes V. The toy is THAT good, period.

Sounds like all the live shit is happening on the WC. Maybe you should move out to our side!

Not Seattle...shit ain't live in Seattle. Just in SF. And LA.
