Haha, and it turns out I'm friends with both of them. Serves me right for unfollowing everyone. This thing is going to be pricey, but I am all over the Hawaii version when it happens.
Amazing. I love to see these production photos, thanks so much for sharing them here Anthony. Goji-pants Nakajima-san will never cease to be among my top toys, no matter how many times they make other versions. The new green is especially wonderful I find, but, alas, like the Gargantua set (which is probably tops for me), the market is just bonkers on them. Hedorah DX.... finally. Well, what more can be said? I know many people have been waiting for this for what feels like eons. I have no doubt, whatever the price will be, it will be worth even Yen of it. I would give a guess that these might be around the T-28s, or a bit higher, and will probably prove to be as popular, given the character also has such wide appeal to fans and collectors. I could really see Yuji doing a GID, to mark his classic celebration issue, not to mention showcasing his wonderful painting style on that medium, but a yellow Bullmark scheme would be great, too. Maybe he will even do something completely new though, would be pretty impressive as well. One of the best parts of this news though (to me) is Yuji's comment on the black vinyl! I am so glad that I am not the only one who feels this way. Not to knock all those 'modern' makers pumping out dark toys and whatnot, and it suits their aesthetic, but it's just not for me; and, looking at the M1 output, you can definitely get that impression that Yuji appreciates a colourful, fun, and playful palette. [I am sure @maxaltoman would be all over that sample though ] Anyway, delightful news, and it put a real smile on my face this morning. Very excited for new stuff in the M1 pipeline.
Head up, more of the last Wonder Festival releases will be available in limited amounts here in Japan later so hopefully the Gargantuas set will be more affordable soon.
@Shirahama - Dennis, the GID Gargantuas set that was previously released is up for pre-orders right now until Nov 6th or until the production cut off is met.
That is what you might call large and in charge. Flesh blanks look really nice, but I can't wait to see some paint applications.
@ultrakaiju - Fully agreed, I'm ready and waiting for those classic Bullmark colors (flesh vinyl works as we know with Yuji). These teaser shots are excellent, but I do not have much hope that I will have a way to purchase one of these when/if they are released.
