Is it too late to request the GID set? I was hoping to still get it but I have been hung up paying off a credit card. >< I'll request it today and see what happens.
The set was a preorder thing. Mark told me that places like Roto will be getting singles though. I still need the Eyezon.
yeah i got the email a while back, just wasn't able to spring at the time. I'm sure I'll find a set though.
I love the mini Draz sculpt. I was down on the face at first, but I've come around to it... I just love the textures and the shape and the pose and the way it sits in my hand. This guy is really gorgeous on the glow vinyl, too... the colors are perfect. The silver spray is really subtle in a couple of spots and gives it an awesome iridescence. I hate to sound like I'm bragging when I know guys missed out, but I hope you guys do manage to score this guy, because he rocks!
The more I see this sculpt, the more I like it. I gotta find a way to get one to paint. I kinda wish the eyes were a little wilder instead of just sticking out straight. I wish they were a bit like Namegon's
A friend of mine has this figure...it's actually pretty fun in-hand...but I'm just not feeling that colorway. Maybe too much masking for my liking. Anyway, there's another colorway out there, but I can't seem to find a pic of it now. More free-hand sprays...and looks killer.
I remember them having been painted by Mark, but are you sure it was just a one-off? I thought it was a run--albeit a small one.
I just saw an Alien Argus in the flesh and it is pretty cool. You can swap out the eyes on it's head for a mouth or 3...or 2 eyes and a mouth...or 1 eye and...well, you get the idea. It's a nice size and feels pretty good in hand and stands as tall as the Draz family. The vinyl is a bit on the thick side. I don't know if I like that Argus looks like it's got boots and gloves. I wish there was more of a connection between the boots and gloves to the body because the textures are almost, if not, totally different.
It's, like, part Guilala, part Bagun...I kinda dig it. Not really feeling those paint schemes, though...
I LOVE THIS PIC!! You should shoot it outside on some concrete...with a little cityscape in the background.
