Looks like a new Marusan Hedorah from the Godzilla Generation event:

Also two gold-sprayed variants with green or red eyes.

Wow so much good Marusan coming out. I def need mini reissues, one Hedorah and the blue Kong. I may be ripped but that flying booska is kinda hilarious. Imagine hanging it in the air with fishing line right in the middle of your collection.

haha not sure if this video was posted. The elevator music with close up shots of new releases is hilarious. Home shopping network kaiju edition.

I hope they bring that to Super Festival as well, that's a great little addition to their line!

I am enjoying the looks of these recent Marusan gold and bronze '71 Gojira figures:

I believe these were also released at the recent Godzilla Generation event.

oh man, i'm a sucker for good metallic paint application. Those fellas are really well done.
if they look half as good as that in real life, i still want them . . . .

@The Moog - Agreed. I am usually not very interested in the Marusan gold/silver/bronze color vinyl figures, but I felt the metallic color sprays on these two was very well done. The gold figure in particular has really caught my eye.

Marusan posted a picture of this guy along side their other new releases but I've never seen it before. Anyone know anything about this sculpt like release info and name? They call it "
Metallica Minila METARICA MINILLA" a google turns up tickets for metallica in manila lol.
His little pug face is calling to me...[IMG]

That's an actual Marusan release?! Not a custom? Uggh...

That's the perfect word for it, "forced". Tho I can think of a few other words too :?
. It's not complimentary to the sculpt whatsoever. Looks like it was just dumped in an oil drum. It even hurt his eyes.

They must have gotten a deal on Monster Kolor

Regarding the Minya, it's from Marusan's Metarica series which features bright metallic color paint designs on black vinyl. They are bringing the series back again this year, hence all the recent blog posts of the previous figures released back in the 2000's, including the Minya.

Ahh yeh I see the other posts now with different themed colorways. I especially like that rodan and guilala.

I had that Miniya for a time before passing it along to another collector (I prefer the vintage, naturally). But I think you guys are being WAY too hard on the paint job. I mean, have you seen half the shit that's on this forum??? Anyway, I didn't have any others from the Metarica series, but if you had a few, they looked pretty stunning on a shelf together...

Agreed, that metallic glossy purple on glossy black vinyl is cool. A lot of collectors seem to be a bit negative towards metallic paint . . .

Just to be clear, I'm all for differing opinions! I know that Metarica Miniya ain't everyone's cup of tea...I mean, it wasn't *mine*, otherwise I wouldn't have sold it! ;) Still, I like how Marusan experiments with more-modern styles and colors in ways most companies don't.

I bet the metarica look super neat under blacklight. Curious how the gacha paints will look.

Has anyone got pics of the hand painted tin tribute Godzilla?

I think that is my favorite Godzilla in the past decade.

I have some photos of a bunch of the Metarica paints from SuperFestival and a couple good shots of the tin type Godzilla as well, which looks AMAZING in person. Once I get home from my last flight I'll post them
