@Mr. Humphreys - Thank you! I will work on some specific vintage vs reissue match-ups for your taxonomy thread, and perhaps some larger collection shots as well. My herd is scattered around the house, and I need to spend some time on a better shelf setup.

Anybody else enjoying all these new Bullmark or Marusan figures? I saw there is an older thread dedicated to the Marusan 450 figures, but all the most recent posts are here. I will keep posting about them in this thread if there is interest.

I just saw some new Marusan lucky bag King Joe 450's posted on Eiji Kamanaga's blog:

Also, there should be a new Marusan Gomess 450 sculpt available now:

As for Bullmark, the giant Godzilla-Jirass conversion figure looks awesome:

I love the tribute spray to the original Bullmark Jirass! This one seems to be available to order on Bullmark's site, but probably for Japan only.

Marusan released their own Godzilla-Jirass conversion figure last year at 450 size:

There are so many fun variants and new figures that it is very hard to keep up. Marusan giant-size Ultraman figures just popped up again, and many other pieces keep getting reissued in new colors/sprays. As much as I love scoring vintage figures, I also get a lot of enjoyment from tracking down these new reissues and reimaginings. Did I mention the sixty-two (62!) versions of the Marusan Classic Godzilla 450 figure? It's enough to drive me completely bonkers (and broke!). :dam::shock:

Found another one from the first Showa run in 2016:

The few I have seen all have unique blue/silver spray designs on blue/green vinyl.

Beautiful. Trends come and go but this is the ultimate classic. Love it.

This thread is incredibly refreshing for skullbrain. A perfect balance from all the knockoffs and contrived bullshit being laid out these days.

The toys are simple and ok. A lot of them just do not appeal to me but some of the newer Bullmark stuff is nice when its made.

It would be to easy for me to bash a lot of these older toys especially in the vintage sections but i have more respect than to do that.

Good to see at least the pre order for the Giant Gorilla has been made available for international orders via Marusan- a definite step in the right direction IMO. On the other hand what I really want is this 450 size Red Ultraman, which as far as I can tell is not! I've almost broken the internet searching for a place that will do a pre order for it and could not find one anywhere

If anyone knows somewhere let me know- I hate aftermarket BS for new toys. Heres a pic of the purdy suspect (which I'd love to add to my Marusan smaller D- Type 2 version):

I honestly kind of like this one though he looks almost like a woman with those hips. And maybe its the fact that the arms arn't very masculine in general. The red is super cool on this one And it goes well with the silverish grey.

Funny you mentioned he's almost 'woman like' the original Red Ultraman by Bullmark was specifically marketed towards girls in the 60's. There is a link to the article by Mark Nagata in this thread (as well as other pics of the smaller Marusan reissues):

Couldn't you make an account on a forwarding service like Tenso to do this?

For Marusan you need to contact them via phone/e-mail and then remit payment, probably through wire transfer. It's a little more difficult then Bullmark and other sites that have a cart system.

I just emailed Marusan asking what my pre-order options are. You never know I've had luck doing that in the past.

@Lixx - I hope they let you order the Tsuburaya figures. I was told they could not sell the Toho kaiju outside of Japan due to licensing restrictions. I have had to resort to a proxy buyer or aftermarket sites for the limited run toys.

No I got a similar reply- licensing restrictions can't do it. Oh well worth a shot.
