Yeah...I think the only way Frank would be able to cast the bronze would be to own his own foundry. I used to work at one and there was very few artist we'd let touch anything because of liability etc...

Also...Not defending or going to argue about the bust.

 

The gal in the picture is just putting on the Patina and again really common. It's tricky to keep consistency on a run.

 

yes I know it would be proposterous to think any average person could do the whole bust thing solo, the pic popping up was just convenient timing due to the joke of him not painting his runs, out of everything I have posted negatively towards franks comeback(which I think very few people on this board realize I was quite excited for-but alas the hypz has died) this was actually some light hearted joshing

 

Thats Rose over at Art Works Foundry in Berkeley. She is the patination sorceress and has done all my bronze patinations over the years. I posted the whole patination process on facebook and twitter last week its amazing process!

 

I WISH I could all of the process steps for the different hthngs I release, but I'd need a multi million dollar facility and eternal life to do all of it ! Right now im locked in a life and death struggle with the wife so I can buy a real rotocasting machine! She's like why in the fuck do it here when you can do it overseas! I will win this fight!someday when I get my brain transplanted into that robot body and I win the Lotto! I invite any and all haters to the studio to watch stuff in action!

I enjoyed the process pics of the bust. Like it or not it is great to learn how things are created.

 

whats really crazy is that the bust is actually cast in several pieces and theres a shed full of insane dudes that braze them together then seamlessly hid the fitting. just crazy amount of work. explains why they cost so much to make.

 

I guess I haven't been around long enough to know why people hate Frank.
Is it because of the Smoking animal toys?

That said... and I think I've mentioned this before...
I have some great video of him (via Charles Gatewood) really high and showing guns I believe. I need to digitize that. That'll add fuel to the Frank is cool/Frank sucks mill.

 

lol? I must have been super high cause I dont remember making a gun video? lol. I sold most of them because you cant really shoot anywhere around here. Back in Texas I built a shooting range inside the house for boring rainy days.

 

When Frank lives in Texas, all kinds of crazy stuff happened.
