I was wondering if anyone else here went to the Takashi Murakami curated exhibition 'Little Boy: The Art of Japan's Exploding Subculture' in New York back in 2005, and what they thought of it.

It was a while back, but it was one of the first exhibitions of modern Japanese art I'd been to and still remember the collection of vintage Japanese toys on display and the Chinatsu Ban elephants on 60th and 5th.

I went to that! I absolutely loved the exhibit, and thought it was a really well put together show. :D

When I read the title, I kinda expected something "weird" to be waiting for me in here. Glad it was just the title of the Murakami Exhibit.

I went to a version of it at the Akron Art Museum, I thought it was before 2005 though...it was pretty excellent. It was fun to see such things in a serious setting.

I was there! Got to see him speak at one of the events and managed to get his book signed/doodled in.

Tell me you did go to the Murakami Exhibit when they had it at MOCA? That one was pretty damn cool as well.
