Kaws 400% Dissected Bearbrick

hate how ost of these go straight to the secondary market.. if i would of know i would of been up the 1000% is sooo nice, but i wont pay rape prices for it...

damn even my HOOKUP site, wants like $800+ forthe 1000%

Saw the 1000% in NY last night. I dont know, but it looked really flimsy if you ask me, not digging it at all.

 

The 1000% is impressive! Here is my 400% settling in w/ his brother.

 

Really, really wish I would have had the cash to pick this set up. Awesome!

only managed to get me 100 % so far. molded would have been the shit,
but gotta admit quality of print is quite nice.

Flimsy?
That's the last word I would use to describe a 1000% be@rbrick.

 

Just saying, I wouldn't buy it. I know they are worth money, but after seeing it in person I wouldn't want it. I mean its cool to have a toy this big an all, but meh.

when I was looking at him, there was a similar sized astroboy vinyl figure right next to him. That looked amazing, I would LOVE to own that badboy.

To each his own so don't take my word as anything.

 

The quality on the dissected 1000% is OK but no where near as good as the original 1000%. A lot of it has to do with the choice of making a clear plastic head...which meant having that huge seam run down the middle.

 

The vinyl is definitely nicer but I wouldn't want to deal with the huge vinyl head turning yellow, so I'm glad they went with plastic.

Just a personal perspective . . . KAWS = Hot & Cold . . . . when viewed next to the real deal Dissected the Be@rbrick interpretation looks pretty meh!

Dr Romanelli did this kinda deal with more flair a few months ago but it didn't have the KAWS hype machine to back it up.

the dissecteds are one of the few things kaws has done that I like. This bearbrick version is underwhelming & could've been better.

but I'm still shaking my head in amazement at the press release announcing these
(PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASE). I know some of this is supposed to reduce flipping, but come on. Is there a section of his fans that thrive on abuse?

whether you like his merch or not, you gotta admit the guy's a first-class asshole.

starts with "hello" and ends with "thank you". doesn't seem assholish to me. i guess the email could been automated to have said my name after "hello", but i'm over it..
