that looks like a mcdonalds type ad, is he a mascot for them over there? I don't recall seeing him when we were there. is there a toy of him? he's great!

No, I don't see him advertising any of the fast food over here. I think it's just another one of Hiddy's use of merchants. Here is the full front of the flyer and a small piece of the back. As you can see it is made to look like the McDonald's logo, then there's even the use of the Burger King logo: No problem
