I'll be in France in a few days.
Paris january 25/31 (well, in Angoulême on the 26th :D)
Then Rennes,Morlaix and Brest in a blast.

I want to drop by Artoyz, just out of curiosity.
Does PASK's have any other suggestions for me, be it toys,cd,bd or food ?!

    Merci

    France 101;

Upon arrival, exit plane, pick up bags, get a cab and go to nearest train station. Board train headed for Amsterdam and enjoy your stay.

If you don't mind dropping a bit of coin, L'Amuse Bouche restaurant in Paris is super-fantastic, your traditional oldskool sort of place run by a family with top-notch food. 186, Rue du Chateau, 14th Arondissement. Less expensively, there's a fantastic bistro called Café Au Chai de l'Abbaye in the 6th, and Cafe de Flore in Saint-Germain-des-Prés has the best way-overpriced hot chocolate, ever. ;)

They sell some "art toys" in the gift shop of Musée Centre Pompidou (I think I saw a couple of Uomou figures there) but otherwise I think Artoyz is it.

    ^ Thanks, I'll look into that !
I've already went to Europe over 10 times and the Netherlands are still not in my top priorities  ;)

Just to know ^^ What are you going to do at Brest (It's my "city" ^^ but it's a tiny town ...)
It's not the better season to visit " la bretagne" but if you don't mind about the poor weather we actually have it's a nice place to be !

For CD, if you're looking for a huge selection, Fnac is the good place. For more specific music, well, it will depend.

For bd, go around the Cluny abbaye and look for the Album shops. This is the area for bd !!

For food, you should try a typical French brasserie like Weppler place de Clichy. Good food, good price, very nice place. La Petite Périgourdine, rue des Ecoles (not far from Album) is a good place too !
Go to the Marais (except on saturday) to eat jewish food ! Amazing !!

here's my tips : let's have a PASK meeting when you are there :)

French flea markets are always quirky, I've never been to paris but worth keeping an eye out.

The big one in Paris, "Les Puces" is spectacular! I actually saw some crazy vintage (non-Japanese) vinyl toys in one shop there. Easy to get to via Metro, like pretty much everything Parisian. Les Puces de Saint-Ouen is almost like a miniature city unto itself, complete with little alleys that have their own street names.

...Which reminds me, if you have time, be sure to check out Père Lachaise cemetery.

    It's "Les puces" Dean ;)

And yeah, easy to go there : line 4 direction "Porte de Clignancourt" to the end ! then, follow the crowd. Saturday and sunday only !

And actually, on a funny side, this part of Saint-Ouen belongs to Queen Elizabeth II...damned Brits !!!!

Thanks for the head ups guys, it's great !

You bet - We booked in St-Germain just to be close to them !
Is Un Regard Moderne still open ?!
I remember Super Heros on St-Martin being great. They had lots of cool ex-libris.
I'm up for it  So far we are free on either the 28/29 or 30th evenings.

Thank you. I corrected the typo. That's what I get for trying to over-Frenchify the French language. :D

I am in Paris now about to leave for Madrid.

Love Laduree macarons, they have a new kind which is a special 150th anniversary flavor. It's Almond Mallow which is colored Laduree green outside with a white mallow filling. Very good stuff.

Jean-Paul Hevin, although known more for chocolate, makes good macarons too.
