I'd be happy to send you a 300dpi scan on disk. Actually, it's only 10 megs, so I can probably upload it to you as an email attachment. PM me your email addy and I'll give it a try.

Great collection, it was nice flipping through it .. ;)

You know Trev? He and I corresponded a bit while I was putting the book together. He's got four postcards in it and I've got his book Medical Fun, which is wonderfully outrageous!

This thread could not get worse.
You don't have to respond to every single post and if you have to wonder why flipping is bad then there is something wrong with you.

I wish this whole thing would disappear.

    1. Flipping is bad. We have determined that.

    2. Why yes, there is something wrong with me. Thank you for noticing.

    3. I don't have to not respond to every single post either.

    4. To make the thread disappear, all you have to do is not click on it. Voila! Gone from your sight. Never to reappear. I would have thought that would have been obvious. Why watch a thread and then complain about how bad it is, and wish it would disappear, when all you have to do is stop watching it?

    5. The thread could very well get worse, from what I have seen on SB so far. :D And if one takes offense at something not meant to offend, perhaps it is the world merely acting as it often does as a sort of mirror.

That's one reason why I like these toys, by the way. They represent a mirror of one aspect of mind, in that they are colorful, sometimes bizarre, but always with a certain sense of playfulness. They don't permit too much of taking oneself overly seriously. I mean how can you look a Mutant Head in the eye and not Real aX.

Is this done yet? Give him the benefit of the doubt for a moment until he proves to be less. We have to remember, that in every other aspect of collecting, flipping is an ingrained part of the culture. It allows a lot of people to afford their hobbies. As someone who is active in another form of collecting, it is not a surprising question. That said, you opened the thread with "I know I am opening up a can of worms" or something like that, so don't feel the need to reply to every worm that comes out of the can.

What is different on this board -that we actively encourage- is to refrain from flipping. If you are here for the community aspect (because the toys are something you have in person and do not need the board for) then treat that community with respect and hook up your fellow collectors rather than gouging them. In doing so, you will make friends here. If profit is a motivation, we would rather not have you here, as we are actually toy nerds, not toy financiers.
