No offense taken. Just felt bad for all those who put effort into writing stories. Some of us aren't as good at art as we are with words. Anyway, writing contests always depends on the judge's tastes. again, it's your contest, so it's your rules Ben's cartoon still rules. Congratulations.
It didn't say "best writing", it said "one for best tale another for best illustration". Mangakaben told a tale, it just had some pictures with it, and meczilla had an illustration. I don't see the issue.

Congratulations to the winners and to all participants! There is a lot of talent in the RFSO ranks. I am not upset I didn't win, but I am a little disappointed the first painting I entered doesn't look as good scanned as it looks in person. Oh well.
Congrats Ben! I do agree with the writers that <40 words in a comic is an odd choice of winner for best 'story,' but it's such a great-looking comic that I could understand Glenn feeling that it just had to win something. Fun contest, thanks for all the effort from everyone - Prize or no, you all deserve kudos for your hard work (and talent, and skills).
