Chinese New Year - people got crunk in my neighborhood

    I live in Chinatown in Philly. Today was Chinese New Year. My girlfriend and I took some pics of the festivities:

    they did a Lion Dance in the lobby of my building last night to bless the building and bring it good luck

    here's a big ass string of loud ass firecrackers right outside my front door

    they eat cabbage (and throw it around) because it symbolizes money and brings prosperity

    all the shop/restaurant owners put out their own strands of firecrackers. here's a dude putting out his huge stand, which subsequently...

    blew up real big and loud and awesome

    I had lots of fun watching people dance in elaborate costumes and blow up very dangerous amounts of explosives in big crowds of people.

    NOthin like that happens here in Texas.

    Right now we have the yearly stock show in fort Worth.

    Favorite attraction is watching the dogs rustle the cattle! :D
