Well that's a instant purchase for me! Lazy sods : Not sure if the description was just meant to be tongue and cheek where they describe the Goga as female because surely if you put the GID baby goga inside the you get pic number two. I've never opened up a goga to put guts inside so I'm not sure how it's done (looks challenging based off the clear Goga I own with GID guts). I sort of wish there was a bonus bonus of GID guts plus GID baby Goga- but I'm being greedy.

This is the best mini goga out there. I think everyone wants it, which now they can. That's the good part. But it's kinda crappy too, it's essentially a rerelease (though on gid). Plus it's a Blobpus colorway, and I don't think he's getting anything from this release. They're just mimicking his colorway and releasing it.
Mini Goga is ok- GID is a big plus for me. I was never big on the sculpt as I don't like the angle of the head looking almost directly up. I like my toys to look outward at me. I get everyone is gaga over the Blobpus color scheme though. For me it's about the big guy (or girl). I like the green/ red/ gold paint apps on the clear vinyl. Looks good IMO.
They should have picked a different color scheme for the mini. Although we'll have to see how the production item turns out, it looks too close to the original at first glance. I'm generally in favor of quasi-reissues that look like an old, rare item, but they should have an immediate tell that distinguishes them from the original.
Differences would be easily recognizable side by side between the two, but I hear you and agree with you. They are pretty similar. The biggest differences are the back paint and the eyes. And I don't think the OG mini is on GID vinyl, is it? I have the blob from the set but not the goga. It has GID paint on the eyes but is not actually GID vinyl base.
No, the OG mini is on white vinyl as far as I know. But white vs. GID can be hard to distinguish in poor photos.
^^ probably not. I might be in the minority but if that full size goga was sold on it's own it would be rather...meh.. the incentive is the pair but still. Putting the mini goga inside the painted..it just looks like painted glow guts.
actually it is thick white paint on orange vinyl the same as the orange mini gogas. you can see it as parts of mouth and hands are not painted.
Mother and baby are a charm! I think this is what makes it such a neat toy issue. I assume you have to pop off the tail, for baby exit/re-entry? Even though the full-size Gogas are monstrously big, sitting on a shelf, this is such a cute idea p.s. @boon velvet , excellent observation!
