Eternia may never be the same again. Off. by Giant Japanese Monster, Bad!, on Flickr Off has been assimilated. Hand cast resin by Giant Japanese Monster, Bad! Articulated arms and wings. Same figure, three poses.
No its a cast from three two part molds and two one part molds that consist of a modified buzz off body with a skeletor head, two arms and two wings. But thanks for stopping by and playing.
I guess I just don't see why someone would do it. I mean, you could buy a vintage Skeletor and a vintage Buzz Off, glue them both together and paint it white, and you'd still end up with something that could take a fall off a shelf for under $20.
You could do that if you want to buy the other figures that the arms were from and add some sculpting, but you can't have them in clear or glow resins then either. You can do anything you want Roger, that is the fun part of toys. Thanks for looking.
I think someone has a crush on audio. You need to be less obvious with your interwebz stalking roger. A girl could get the wrong idea.
Maybe you're right. Based on what you've told me, the place to stalk people from is CIBOTL. I know I have plenty of fans there. audiodifficulties (a font of negativity if ever there was one) posted the toy here, he should be able to take some criticism. Stegoforest, Galaxxor, thumbs up from me. This one, not so much.
I'm open to any criticism you may have Roger. The "Why?" isn't really criticism, more just a personal question, that I answered. Fun. I named him Off partially because of Buzz Off and partially because its what I think all people can do if they don't like certain toys. Your obsession with the list is oddly interesting and irrelevant to any of my posts in any forum here on SB. Like I said, thanks for looking. I'll let my friends who are getting the white ones for easter know what a man on the internet I've never met thought about him though.
By all means critic, but... maybe the critic would be better if you talked about what exactly didn't like? Its more constructive
I admire this artistic statement and I think it's good that you're not referencing the John Travolta/Nick Cage action movie Face Off. My obsession with "the list" is due to it being HILARIOUS. I find it hysterical that there is a group of people who take toy collecting (and this bulletin board in particular) so seriously that they have to have a secret club where they spend all of their time gnashing their teeth about it and railing against the world. Please wish all four of your friends a happy Easter from me and Jesus.
Aww someone has a bee in her bonnet. I'm so glad you proved my point so easily. Board trolls do need MOAR reasons.
I've always loved your resin work, Audio, This guy is no exception. It's so hard to pull nice clean figs from the mold, but it looks like you have the magic touch. Not to mention the toys your making, are just so damn fun
For someone who always railed against people on this BBS using sexist language to criticize one another, you sure like to dish it out. Well if I ever had someone to model my behavior after, atease, it was certainly you.
Can I be your friend? Just got one of your "bear" figures and was really impressed by the size. A real solid toy. I tried making my own Off out of two separate toys but the scotch tape looked sort of tacky.
Oh, yeah, this was pointed out to me, missed it: There are over 1500 user accounts on this BBS. I'm guessing you haven't met most of them. Why would you even post this if you weren't trying to find out what people you never met think of it?
That means I still owe you a header, which I just got in the mail today (and owe a big thanks to Ben). Steve is a great artist and guy I was really glad I got to do those for him. For those of you who think fun is enough of a reason: Waiting for wings. by Giant Japanese Monster, Bad!, on Flickr Generations of Simulations. by Giant Japanese Monster, Bad!, on Flickr
OOOOOh! I want one. These look like they would be fun to paint. The wings came out so smooth. Flat things like that are usually hard to cast. Great job.
