Is anyone going to Lolla? I want a Death from Above 1979 shirt in a large. Let me know and I'll paypal you the moola. I'm not paying $90 for like 5 bands.

they aren't even doing single day tickets yet... just the full 210 for the weekend. not to mention that the first 8 bands are over the hill 90s/00s rehash bleh. i digress.. did you see if the shirt is available in dfa's store?

i feel entitled to trash it because i went to every one of the chicago iterations up until last year. Ween, A Perfect Circle, Phantogram, Crystal Castles and maybe My Morning Jacket would be all i want to see of the 2011 lineup, and they'd each only play for an hour or less in the hot late afternoon and i wouldn't be able to get very close. the fences were less restrictive in the festival's smaller previous years and i met members of tv on the radio, death cab for cutie, sonic youth etc. now the walls are high and the perks few - barely even expensive food and beverages in sight. i'm a bonnaroo convert.

I saw TV on the Radio on the street opening for the Faint in Nashville about 10 years ago and I thought they were homeless dudes.

that appears to be brooklyn/williamsburg's deal. they have some good songs though and for what it's worth the band members were nice.
