before the translation was confirmed, we thought these could be called clap monsters or crap monsters. haha.
I think that's right... good eye. Anybody figured out anything about who "Clap Monsters" (Crap Monsters?) is yet? New company? Or sub-unit/side-project of one of the existing companies? I have done a fairly thorough search on the internet and came up empty.
Yeah the tail and the fins on the back. I still prefer the Gargamel Zag with the clean lines and the first Hukkokudo Zagora is a runner up. I like messy, chunky, crude but I look to the Bemons and Longnecks for that.
I was told that they were a new company that had just gotten there monster ready just before the Rotofugi show. They contacted them at the last moment and got it in. I was told that they would be doing Japanese version later... don't know how accurate that info is though.
Shit, Lol - check the header card out! - Done in word with "88"s used for the border - adds to the quirkyness i spose
the pics of the new colorway don't do justice to the metallic blue down the sides of these guys. Remind me of big fishing lures. I'm hooked. (sorry)
Yeah, it is hard to tell how nice these guys are from pictures. Some figures are just that way. You have to actually hold them, out of the bag, to fully appreciate them. I like my version 1 very much.
i think i'll get one for sure. it indeed does look like a mightin & zagoran made crazy kaiju lovin' and spawned this fellow.
Just got mine today! Thank you Kirby and Jermy I love this piece. The color-way has to be seen to believe! I'll post some pics soon.
Agreed! This is one amazing figure..Can't wait to see more from this company. Jermy did confirm that it's only exclusive to Rotofugi.
Happy to cross one of these guys off the list.. GID Rainbow version on it's way! Anybody got any Clap Monster pics to share since the last post was made in 2007??
Fat monsters are cool and the one picture that hasn't been deleted on this thread is pretty damn neat.
Can't get the photo to post, but here is a HP one I picked up years ago. https://www.flickr.com/photos/29434787@N03/17602244642/in/dateposted-public/
Rainbow monsters are pure win in my book! Not to mention for most creatures in real life bright colors are used as a sign for poisonous and deadly. So i would like to think that the bright colors make this a creature you'd want to avoid at all cost.
