so I have a problem with my airbrushes not working after having cleaned them very well .. somehow they blast air thru them while empty.. but once i pour some paint in..it just bubbles in the cup instead of spraying out.. I have repeatedly cleaned them after and even changed out needles.. ..but the same result keeps happening.. can't figure it out.. about to just send them off to iwata anyone else experience this?
Have you tried cleaning the cups spout? Are you using the standard Iwata side cup? That one is really annoying to clean out and clogs easily because of the way it moves the paint into the airbrush.
I have 3 brushes all iwata 2 eclipses and 1 neo and i have the same problem with all of them.. i have taken them completely apart and soaked and cleaned them very well..this just recently happened..
Hmmm if it's happening with all of your brushes it sounds like it could be what you're using to clean them with.. What type of paint are you using and what thinner/cleaner? And how do you go about cleaning your brushes after a session?
If you are using iwata eclipse, there should be a small piece that sits inside the tip that the needle goes through. This is where most of the clogs happen, go in with something as sharp and thin as the needle and push all the paint that is stuck in there out. Usually opaque paints/thicker paints get clogged up in that area. Then run some warm water/hot water over is and blow into it. If you can see light at the other end you might be back in business. Sometimes it could also be how you put your brush back together. Not tightening enough etc. hope this helps!
It's the little metal tip inside where the needle exits. Get that little wrench tool it comes with and tighten it up. Should fix it.
The nozzle. Take it off and soak it in a small container, shake the container a bit for some agitation then put it back on. Just be careful when you tighten it. It is way too easy to break the nozzle.
