I’m also working with Unbox on a Chibi series which will also debut at DCON.

Again looking to make these on the cheaper side and more of a toy toy to play with.

These will be made in China like other Unbox items.

I’m reallllly in love with them. Hopefully you all are also so we can explore more Chibi MVH characters.

Between this and the fighters, there is so much MVH to be excited for in Winter. Now I just have to hope I can get a release of each without going to DCon this year. Really appreciate how both of these releases should also be more accessible, as I understand how difficult it is to keep everyone happy. The marbles are fantastic, and Unbox always does quality releases with a high quality, even so they aren't made in Japan.

I’m so psyched for the Chibis. I LOVE that color scheme they used for the marbling. Unbox are monsters of awesomeness.

And I’m super stoked to get to see the fighters in person. All the heads are so diverse and unique(Triborg, Mrsa Man, & Scissor Hands are my favs thus far) and the sticker/back-patch correspondence is the coolest. Mrsa Mans school logo is the best!!:(

I wonder what ELSE you have up the ol’ surprise sleeves for the show...?8)

I agree. All these back patch/stickers are perfect designs. Cohesive but still super diverse, I can't pick a favorite.

Bonus points to anyone who knows where the Ollie head on the sticker came from ;)

So who gets the honor of cutting, folding and gluing all of those boxes? OR can the printer do it?
It looks not fun after 10 of those.

BJJ fighters are shaping up nicely. Are they going to be sold blind box style re: the head?

Also nice to see the chibi DXes. I own a bunch of Unbox vinyl and the quality is great and their factory paints are fantastic. I believe, and this could be totally wrong, that a lot of their factory painters were WH40K hobbyists.

As for the masks, that's great to hear. I'm really excited to add a kakumon to my collection one day. I also think the kakumon in particular could make for a really interesting mixed part with a bunch of different flames!

Yeah that’s something I’m on the fence with but think I might do this.

Sell a few options. Full set, doubles ( with each fighter being shown so you know what your getting) and singles, but the singles being blind box. And doing them all as mixed part since I have red, white and black vinyl.

I took a shot of what they would look like and the colors look nice mixed :

The Chibi series yeah Dan and team really do take pride, so I have faith. Plus I will get a stock that I will hand paint. So there will be tiers in that also.

The Kougai I can’t wait to get back on. I definitely plan on doing mixed like that. That was the entire point of the flames and extra parts so it can be done. Soon.

I think having a bunch of different options and price points for BJJ fighters is a great idea. It gives new and old collectors a ton of options and opportunities to collect. I'm looking forward to any themed sets you do, but I think it's safe to say if we see a Street Fighter set Ryu vs. Ken will fly off the shelves. I'm an Akuma man myself ;)

Interesting to hear about the chibi tiers. Would you be doing that like a traditional blind box? Would be a pretty crazy DV to see people opening their chibis not knowing what is inside, especially with some painteds and one-off chases!

It'll be great to see the kakumon see some more releases. It's a respectful tribute but uniquely your style. IIRC the only release so far was the DCON 2018 run plus DV one-offs?

I have a lot of stuff planned, yes street fighter is happening. Plus actual fighters from the past and present so people can learn of actual legends within the sport.

And yeah that was it for the Kougai due to a obitsu and their mistake. But this should be solved soon.

I think it's been a pretty busy week in MVH world!

    - The premiere of the BJJ fighters where you needed to FIGHT to WIN (I think @coma21 needs to be the official MVH hype man). Much credit to @eckotyper for the personalized BJJ mats. I think stuff like this is super tight and what really brings the community together in the era of.....whatever the hell we wanna call it when we complain

    - Unbox's Chibi DX and Ollie with surprise lotto-only clear edition sported by @patrickvaz

    - @animator 's really cool Doji where if I ever get one I will totally make a photocopy of the masks and cut them out

    - And perhaps IMO the best of show, the Gong collab

Overall, a pretty damn good weekend for MVH collectors. Those who missed out on the Chibis, chill. Unbox will do more and Rich made these specifically to get into people's hands. Call me crazy, but Rich is all about the community and I'm pretty sure if you can reply to this post you're gonna end up able to buy one at cost (quentor is still banned, right? i kid i kid)

I will say I hope we see more stuff like the gong collab. It was absolutely gorgeous all around, but there is a decent amount of stoners in the MVH community and things like the DXes tickle my pickle

Really wish I could have been there. Seems like everyone held it down for me and the majority of had a good time.

Community is for sure a massive part of what I strive for, so glad to see it all play out I couldn’t be happier.

I see people trading heads and parts to get the configurations they want on the BJJ fighters and I think that is pretty dope

You should start a trade thread. I'm sure a lot of people are interested in trades with these. There have been a few trade threads where people list what they have and what they want.

I m super excited about Rich upcoming release. It’s been a long time cooking and it looks to me like one of the biggest, boldest release I've seen. One new body, 4 new heads.
The scale of the thing at hand definitely plays in how excited I am about this. And the fun colors it's gonna come in. I really like to see Rich exploring vastly different color ways for his toys.

For those of us wise enough to not be on IG:
    Rich's words:
"I’m in the process of getting the Fink series off the ground. This is a large undertaking. So I’m going to offer a pre order once I get all the details. I’m going to make this limited pre order so it doesn’t get out of hand. I’m also going to make this pre order as affordable as possible for the early support. The package will include all 4 full figures, with matching color attack Ollie omake. Looking to do neon pink for Ol Sparky, Neon orange for King Sam, neon yellow for Mayhem and neon green for The Filthy Bastard. I’m still working out the details on the rest of the package. But I will make sure it’s an offer you can’t pass up. Just want to get this out there, if all goes well this will go down in a few weeks."
