@ultrakaiju Thanks for the info on the Ghostbusters toy, it looks so much like a Boglin i didn't think to search under other toy lines. As for the Robot Factory, i know that one was from when Tomy started releasing them to the international market themselves, rather than through Palitoy etc.
@ultrakaiju Cool, i'm pretty sure ive never seen a Don Martin animated advert before! Classic. That game reminds me of this wonderful book: I also found this vintage pin last weekend at the boot-sale. Just over 2" diameter. 1994
WACO Japanese 'cordless' games. Very cheap in two different charity shops. Possibly 70's, maybe 80's. Nice lime-green plastic (photos don't capture the colour very well).
This weekend the weather was so hot and sunny the boot-sale was about half the size. Its usually clouds and rain that put people off. I still found a few old bits and pieces (a nice pile of toys for £1). Here are my fav's from the pile. Vintage Ben Cooper 'Super Fly' Jiggler / Rubber Ugly. Almost perfect condition, its just missing the little paper tag. Nice vintage Helix Pepsi can pencil case.
Ghostbusters ghosts. I found the one on the right in a charity shop recently for 50p. I've figured out it was a top/cap for a bubble-bath bottle . . .
^ Note, the gold paint on the gloves and knee-pads almost entirely disintegrated years ago. You can only just see it was ever there.
I assume these were screw-in container tops for candy/sweets or whatever. Both by RTC Chicago. Bugs has 'Warner Bros 1990' stamped on him as well.
Trendmasters 1993 'Typhoon Blaster'. Found a loose one to go with my carded version, he's a beauty! £2 at a vintage market. 4.5" high.
I did'nt think it would take long for Yokai Watch stuff to start appearing at boot-sales. I've picked up a few nice plushies, but these are the first vinyl/plastic figures ive grabbed. Electronic sound, 7" high. £1 each. Paws of Fury Hip-Hop Hero And a germ infested flea-bag . . . . sorry, i mean vintage My Pet Monster. 1986 AmToy. This one is a mid-size version so he will go nice with the larger one i found years ago. £2 in a charity shop.
I find these occasionally, starting to look like a nice little collection . . . This one looks very influenced by GON (Masashi Tanaka) . . .
Amongst other bits and pieces i found two big bastards on the weekend. Here's the first big bastard . . . he's about 13" high. 'Giant Size' Raphael (Playmates 1989) complete with his weapons and belt, oh yesh. £2 in a charity shop.
Moog, you are killing me with these incredible finds! Have mercy, dear lorb, my poor ticker can only take so much. Those jigglers and that giant Raph are wonders; and talk about walking away with a steal. I can imagine the smile you had (because I would have had the same one). Clearly I should have been wandering around the Bristolian locabouts rather than hiking north Wales.
@ultrakaiju Ah, crunching some leeks? Yaki-da boyo. Yeah, the cool finds are always a buzz mate. I have to do my fair share of 'hiking' to find them though. There's a lot more toy competition at boot sales recently as well, so its a bit nerve wracking. I try not to look at what other toy buyers have snagged, it only annoys me! Haha. A lot more speculative dealers/eBay sellers nowadays beating me to cool toys, but that's the way it goes. Bastards
