I guess it is because I don't live in the US - or maybe as I just am not up with all social media and the latest happenings in general - but this news is sort of disappointing to hear. As a fan, for the show of course, but as much for the odd stuff linked to it and the potential 'controversy' surrounding Harmon itself. I don't know any of the facts, or claim to, and this is all new to me, but regardless it makes me cringe a little and take a step back. The Future of Rick and Morty is in Limbo, According to Dan Harmon I am very thankful for the amazing three seasons of the show we got, and hopefully there will be more, but I'd also not want to see it get burned out, mired in extraneous events, or watered down/of lessened quality if any major changes were made.
Not sure what you're referring to..?? All I see is Harmon making a sarcastic tweet and everybody trying to find its hidden meaning it as if it were the Voynich manuscript. Like making gud stuff as opposed to "fast" stuff? Just maybe??
Really glad to see other people loving the genius behind this show. Fart jokes are great but this show has some real blood sweat and tears poured into it. Season 3 has been the background noise me and fiance go to sleep to for a couple months now, and so far it has not gotten old. I find us quoting the show and frequently discussing how great it is often. The voice work is astounding, some really stellar choices for guest voice work (Werner Herzog, Clancy Brown, Nathan Fillion), I would put it second only to Over The Garden Wall. After the initial hump of the show finding it's footing It immediately finds this beautiful consistent strut that doesn't lose pace. In only three seasons it has given a depth and complexity to it's characters that is unrivaled, and a weight to the universe the show takes place without becoming overbearing or too serious. I think that really speaks leaps and bounds regarding the creative team especially because of the loose improvisational tone and feel the show embraces. It's obvious they care and they are not undermining the audience which I feel many animated series suffer or have a rough time getting around due to the genre. I don't mind waiting for another season as long as they keep delivering like they have so far, I'm sure it will be well worth the wait. Sorry for the long post haha just feel the show gets a lot of hype, but hype and credit are not necessarily the same or equivalent.

Adult Swim has ordered a staggering 70 new episodes of the popular animated series as part of a new long-term deal with the show’s creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland. That is more episodes than Rick and Morty‘s first three seasons combined (31 episodes)."

Excited for the next 70! Also really interested in seeing how it all shakes out, with all the issues they had on the third season I wonder if they'll make it to season 10, or what changes we'll see along the way. Assuming they're planning on sticking to the 10 ep seasons. I sort of love how volatile the production seems
