I wish! I'm staying with family in NJ for a little while, so their wonderful grass is my current photo backdrop. Something like this in the middle of NY would be truly unreal.

Great hauls guys! (and yes, that is one heck of a yard).

@spatula007 Loads of great minis there I would love to check out in person. Can I ask, what is the Boba Fett card?

Finally back in Scotland after an awesome trip. Once I unpack everything I’ll post up my haul. Loved my first toy show and already looking to plan my next one.

Had a great time over the weekend! IMG_20180606_104407-1948x1433.jpg

Love everything I scored except for the VIP Molly which Ill probably get rid of, just not my thing. Biggest surprise for me is the instinct toy crab, I went hoping to get a king korpse and couldn't leave without the large crustacean. Love his red eyes and its basically a super posable toy, he has 27 joints and at least half of them are pretty useful.

Heres my haul. Sorry about the poor quality photos but barely awake due to the jet lag. Can anyone help me with who made the Kanegon? Grabbed it from Hakaba gallery but not sure who made it.

Yeah I’ve been after one since I saw the ones he did for last years show. Hopefully he keeps them coming as they are so nice.

Must have been a great fest, you all have posted so many nice things. What are the logistics like for an out of towner? Is it better or worse than SDCC?

I travelled over from Scotland and as we booked well in advance we booked a hotel near where last years event was. Was cool though as only took 20 mins by cab to get to the venue and the event was really well organised so we had grabbed our passes at the DTAs the night before.

I was only there for 3 hours on the Saturday (as the heat outside was crazy and wiped me out) and went for a couple of hours on the Sunday morning. However I didn’t have to queue for anything other than the Skulltoys booth on the Sunday so scored everything easily. Never been to SDCC but been to NYCC a couple of times and 5P def has the small show feel that allows for more chatting and less frantic running about.

    Would def recommend!

SDCC is the biggest con ever, a massive event. This is a much smaller event with a laser focus. If you are in love with the toy art world and would like to meet and chat with the creators of the toys you love then this is a great show. If you're just there to get some loot you could see everything in an hour or two and be out the door. It was my first time going and I believe only the second year of the show(someone correct me if I'm wrong here) and it was obvious, logistical issues like no one having any water for sale even though it was a tightly packed place on a hot day are rookie mistakes. But from those I talked to it was a bigger and better version of the year before, so they are improving.

Despite missing this event for the second year in a row, I stopped by My Plastic Heart today and re-started my Negora collection.

Sounds like everyone had an even better time this year , for the most part. That’s great to hear. I really need to put my mind to work and figure out a way to make attending these happen.

@spatula007 , when you and others say OSM, are you referring to Mel Birnkrant specifically or someone else helping with the modern OSM stuff? Like I know the Four Horsemen were for awhile.

OSM is Gary something, the guy who makes the current Glyos incarnations of the older Birnkrant toys.

    Thank You, @hellscrape .

I know zip about Gary, tho I think it’s funny how Wikipedia refers to him; “In 2008, creator Birnkrant partnered with Wall Street specialist Gary Schaeffer to form a company called The Outer Space Men, LLC...

Anyhoodiddly, back to the spoils of 5Pts, I had a friendly neighborhood brainer man pick up a gid Nazora 1 for me.

There are still some available , now online at blackdrove.bigcartel.com , if anyone else is interested.

    Thanks for clarifying, @hellscrape.

    @boon velvet Yup. He's correct.

@JoeMan Was the red Bone Usir influenced by Spiderman? The colors sort of clicked for me last night.

No, Metallic blue on red vinyl is just a very classic spray combo, I'm not sure of the origin but dates way back.

I was Just thinking about this recently, as 1 of the next she headless horse runs will be based around this somewhat similar color pallet on red vinyl from this M1 Hedo (http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i286/jpcorriii/M1 Hedorah for SB.jpg).
If the information even exists anymore, I’d really be interested to know the origin of metallic blue on red viny myself.
