It's nothing. I got absolutely nothing.

 

GRIPEY MIKE IS GRIPEY
I got a Target Earth Yummiela (my first-ever TE toy) in the mail today from Mandarake... was so psyched to open it up. Well, gyotdamn if there isn't a small-but-quite-conspicuous spot of paint chippage on the face. Was not there in the product photo, and the box arrived in perfect shape- this somehow occurred in Mandarake's handling/packing. The chip is right up front on his muzzle, the base red coming through the yellow- very noticeable & eye-drawing. I am a bit PO'd, as this was the mo$t toy I have treated myself to in some time. Will be emailing Mandarake (with pics) to politely inquire if they might be amenable to giving me a bit of store credit.

One more nitpick: the red, hand-brushed semi-circles around the black eye dots that we saw in the proto shot...



...are not on mine. I missed this when looking at the (kinda shitty) Mandarake photo, in consideration of the purchase. Now I've looked at the few other pics I could find posted by ppl who have rec'd one, and it seems some have this detail, and some don't. Weird. I gotta say, I am bummed mine does not- though a small detail, it was key in making me fall for the toy. It was such a cool, artful touch, not only nicely accentuating his crossed eyes, but also tying the eyes back to the red of the body.

Otherwise, despite these gripes... fuggin' awesome toy. I just need to find an airbrusher-for-hire who can fix that chip for me, now...

We've been having such a rainy winter, it was really nice to score this guy.

 

Got a slip in my mailbox for picking up a package at my local mail office. Thought it would be my Ggml LB. was well surprised when it was this beauty. Got over here well quick!

 

Some recent arrivals ...

 

Just getting my feet wet again, my first delivery in almost 10 years. Decided I wanted to put some more ugly into my collection so I grabbed this Pug faced Godzilla sits about 6-7" tall. Of course the party is in the back with the metallic tail paintstripe. I really enjoy this hobby, glad I'm back, nothing beats Pugzilla's crazy yellow eyes.

 

Do you remember the name and company for the green veiny guy? I have a bunch of the same line but I always forget the TV show and the figure manufacturers name.

Frankenruge by Rainbow. He's a Barom-1 villain. The original toy was put out by Bandai. The Rainbow version is a much different sculpt than the Bandai OG.

 

Yeh I got Rainbow even though I bought them a years ago. I have to say the mushroom guy is my fave. I got about 8 different pieces.

 

Can't say I ever wanted an E.T. toy until seeing this bagged KO. Love the header, and the toy itself feels to be far better quality than I thought. Nicely sparsely painted.

 

E.T just needs a dab of GID paint on the finger lol.

 

Always been curious about this guy... based on feel/sixth vinyl sense... could you compare it to any other toy? Kind of like how Bear Model vinyl feels light - or heavy and solid like M1?

 

Which hito is at the back ?

 

What's the story on that Bakura larva ?

 

Honestly i was given that as a bonus during a trade!! So im not too familiar with it

 

It's very sturdy and not light, but not as weighty as M1.
