Just saw the super shogun ones. They look pretty cool. Hoping the paint looks good.

Agreed. I'd say that's probably the ReAction line's biggest weakness.

So'd you guys just spot the Lord of Light cardback and proto sculpt on IG? My jaw physically hit the floor. Never thought i'd see a Kirby piece like this be released in such a classic style. WOW.

Here's a pic of some Lord of Light art from the Man himself.

I think that Super7 getting back the ReAction line is turning out to be a very, very good thing.

Sorry, just seeing this, but to reply to this part specifically: "Iv come across allot of ppl who don't understand the concept behind the older designs and see them as a waste of money in general...", then they're just not the toys for those people, it doesn't mean anything is wrong with the toys. Plenty of people think collecting toys in general is a waste of money. But if someone said they didn't like Lego because there isn't enough detail and toy bricks are stupid, well that isn't the fault of the company or consumer (although the consumer may be an idiot); it only means that person shouldn't purchase Legos. ReAction is partly based off a certain look, and thir fanbase for those toys seems to be doing just fine. I was happy to see that aesthetic continue with the Street Fighter II & The Worst figures, and the previews of Toxie and the Shogun robos look fantastic!

As cool as the ReAction line is, I've been able to resist fairly well with only getting one here and there (I just collect too much), but I'm not sure, I may have to get the whole Shogun line. These The Worst figures are also reeaallyy tempting. Toxie is a definite buy tho.

So good, dude. Haven't picked up any ReAction figures in a long time. The last two my gf and I snagged were a GID Mummy and the black and white Wolf Man to add to our Universal/Horror shelf. Besides those two I haven't even bothered with ReAction since their Alien release years ago. That Lord of Light and the Toxie release will change things though.

Why is nobody talking about "Trooper" and "Killers" Eddie ReAction figs?!?!?

The ReAnimated line looks pretty appealing to me as well. It reminds me a lot of the old BTAS figs.

Ok, eventually we need some Krull, Legend and Monster Squad figures. Would be pretty cool to have some anyways. Especially from Krull which i don't think ever got any toys.

So, I get that Super7 and Funko have gone split on the licenses on these, but I am not quite clear (perhaps someone can clarify) what the terms are for the various 'brands,' and, specifically, the ReAction name. Does the latter solely belong to S7, because it seems Funko is still issuing figures under it, unless I am mistaken. I get that it is a whole toybox full of 'retro-style' action figures, and isn't a design unique in and of itself that one could copyright (for the best, mind), but it is a bit muddied with all of these different lines now taking off in a similar vein. I get that everyone wants to cash in on that sweet nostalgia money, but I would also like some quality control and give support to more passion projects than dollar-chasers. But, probably, these toys aren't meant for me.

And in that vein, are we limiting to sharing of only the S7 branded figs here too? Or any of the 3 3/4" lines? We could devolve the threads to make it clear, but I am not sure either that SB is the right venue for such dedicated minutiae. Asking for a friend, because I am definitely not some overthinking toy-junkie bent on classifying things in all aspects of life.

And, because I am here, the Toyfair promo figs look so amazing. [Which are clearly Super7 branded, btw]. While it is certainly amazing to see licenses like POTA rejiggered in this fashion to action figures we never got, things like the Super Shogun, Toxie, and - the ever-immortal - Jack Kirby, are fantastic to see. Clearly the development brains are working overtime on these, for which many fans are no doubt thankful.

I was just referring to the photos shown from the Toy Ark previews Mark had shared earlier. There could be more pics posted elsewhere since then, but here is the link again, Glenn.
Really nice stuff, kudos to all the S7 team on the work on these. I am sure we will be even more excited once we see some painted up samples of them. Also, a suitably psychedelic marbled LoL would probably be pretty amazing (though of course they'll always be lacking some of that amazing inking work by the masters who made Kirby's fantastic work pop that much more).

I think that Funko/S7 had a few remaining sets already in the works when S7 announced they were getting ReAction back. And now, to confuse things even further, Funko is making other 3.75" figures, like the Batman '66 stuff, and the new Stranger Things sets. Those are NOT part of the ReAction line.

Ah, that would make sense Mark. The newer stuff (e.g. the Stranger Things line) is what prompted me to ask. They [Funko] are clearly trying to go a new way with it without the ReAction name, but I see that some stuff, like the Nightmare Before Christmas figures, are still listed as belonging to the ReAction series. Obviously there is a lot of legal stuff in the agreements, and still continuing licenses to work out, it is just a bit obscure to the casual buyer/fan who might not know/understand the difference. (Heck, I think for most of the folks buying these 3.75" toys, they are probably completely unfamiliar that Super7 itself is a brand, not to mention deserves the credit for this revival, which is a shame).
