The orange walking Killer is pretty cool. I don't think I've seen a toy made in that color vinyl before. Got to see the vendobot (or whatever you want to call it) in hand. It's kinda cool but I think it might fall into the same hole as Nakazawa's little robot that Gargamel made where people are excited for it but after a while it looses it's popularity. Still not excited about the mecha Zag. More excited about the Bako. The regular Zag is nice with that very subtle glitter on it.
I wonder if the idea is to eventually give the vendorbot paper guts. If it's a Chanmen toy, that seems right up his alley.
I forgot to take photos when I had the pieces but there are detailed rivets on the "male" joint part on the legs of Vendor-Zero. I'm guessing the plan is to have coloured parts with a clear vinyl torso in the future to show off that slight detail - similar to chanmen's instagram photo. Never seen detailing on a joint before like that, it's a nice touch. Reminds me of the slight neon pastel look that you get with bubblegum/chewy candy. Very cool colour on both killers!! @Fig Belly was that your choice of colour?
Guts for the vendobot would be cool but I like the clear body mixed with solid arms and legs + micro inside. The vendobot i saw is a bright yellow. it is also an odd color of yellow. Both are sort of like fluorescent or yeah, neon pastel 80's-ish colors. Really cool contrast from the darker standard sized toys.
I'll try to update main page with pictures but still curious if there are any 1offs etc. I agree with 'gatchabert' about the vender zero. It's cool but could fade away. If chanman's instagram is a preview to come then it does have really great potential. HOWEVER, since gargamel rarely does regular releases we will see what happens.
Vender-zero reminds of the Robo tower that was released, you can see one in the background of Chanmens picture. I feel like this will have the same effect as that did.
If vendor zero has a clear body with different arm/leg colors for each release it will be awesome. Basically like the IG picture. It's a fun toy with lots of potential, I want a lot more of them. Then again I'm 1 of the few people who really loves Gacha Mecha/Roid/Dos. The squatty robots just appeal to me.
View this post on Instagram Nothing we haven't seen but if you ordered from DDR they are landing! So happy with my pulls, the bags were killer this year
im right there with ya. the only lucky bag pieces im hype on are those lil robots and im happy so many people are letting them go lol
It's the black one from a few releases ago! I think it was just an added bonus as a thanks for ordering with DDR, super nice!
since weve seen most of the bags now there really wasnt much variety this year between sculpts, except for the standard size. everyone got a robot,(which is cool, cus hes great) everyone got a walking killer, and some got a zodiac
Two up in this sales thread right now. http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/index.php?threads/gargamel-lb-items.51731/
I'm a little disappointed that we didn't see any one-offs or limited runs. (As in marked on the foot.) Then again, we haven't seen any for a few years now. Maybe the Mecha Miborah was one though? Did anyone else pull one except for that guy on IG?
I expect we will see a few more of the zodiac. I think the bags this year are a lot like last years. Last year, Coke bottle Zag was common, Miborah was chase. Cyborg Zag(MG tribute) was common and unpainted Cyborg Miborah was chase. It's a fun way to mix things up without pulling an entirely new toy. Would have been cool if they had a few Coke bottle Garudan mixed in with the Deathras like they did when the zodiac Deathra was released.
