a question about selling on sb

are any rules against or guidelines for selling custom work on here?

 

some people here HATE custom everything

 

Its definitely an unwritten rule. Dont do it. Just make a bigcartel or something.

 

would making a post in a customs thread i have going about stuff being added to my big cartel be okay? or is that also frowned upon? i dont use instagram anymore so im trying to figure out how to go about this lol

 

Post in your customs thread and say "contact me if interested in purchasing" or just sell on IG

 

Lots of people do that or I guess used to do that. A few people will give you shit about it. It's pretty much a judgement call on your part.

Keeping your signature area on your profile updated would probably be the least likely way to offend someone. That way anytime you post a custom the info is right there at the bottom of your post. Don't be that person though who updates your signature wants/needs/haves/sale info once every 5 years making things as confusing as possible.

 

cool i didnt even even think about that! i could have the shop url and if anyone feels the need to check it out they can! i just dont wanna seem like im trying to abuse this place for sales because that would be whack

 

Yeah. create a link in your signature to sell. Some people like customs some don't but all it does is create a whole bunch of drama and anger and thread after thread discussions. Save yourself the headache.

 

Oh lord, I forgot I even had a signature because I can't see it on mobile...
