Does anyone know Sean? As he has stolen two Paul Kaiju Rees from us!!! We have mailed him and his girlfriend (payed in her pp) and given them a lot of time and the benefit if the doubt to get back to us, but nothing. So we wouldn't normally do this, but we are out of patience. The paypal he used was his girlfriends kkkaitlynsss@hotmail.com His actual address is **** ******** *** MD ***** Any info on this guy would be appreciated. DO NOT DEAL WITH SEAN DAROK
Bloke sounds like a complete 'C' word. Trouble is mate, there are not that many people on this board from the UK. Its very doubtful anyone knows him on SB but maybe i'm talking out of my arse . . . Do you know if he's on any other social media?
Thanks for the heads up on this, it is always useful to bring the information out to the community. Not sure that anything could be done at this point, but it could at least aid in avoiding future encounters with disreputable buyers. As Moog alluded to, it is difficult in the online world to really know/identify who these individuals are, so, not to suggest doxing anyone (please keep personal information private), but if you would also happen to know of handles or aliases that they have used, it might be helpful in preventing further incidents. How did you get in contact with them/him initially? and what were the circumstances that lead to this sale?
Thanks for alerting us. Since you've given the seller adequate time and the benefit of the doubt, the next step is to open up a claim with PayPal immediately so you can begin the process in attempting to get your money back.
Sorry for being a dummy, but who is "we" and is Sean a member on this board? I'm not doubting your story, I'm just an idiot.
Sean is in the US, Maryland to be precise. We know we won't get our money or toys back, just wanted to kind of black list him. What happened was a mix-up. My friend and I have started a new store in the UK, Ko-re Ko-re and we had some Paul K Rees left over from Toycon. Sean and another customer bought a set each. I then mixed up the orders, a genuine mistake and sent two of the same colour to each of them. Sean filed a paypal claim before even contacting us about the cock up. We refunded him for one of the Rees and paid him and the other customer extra so they could post them to each other (save them coming all the way back to the UK). Both agreed, the other customer posted their duplicate and that was the last we heard from Sean. So he has the two original toys and the one sent to him, but only paid for one.
Judging by the headline I thought you guys owned a gallery and you caught somebody stealing a toy on camera. Sounds more like the order was screwed up and this guy is just too lazy to return the wrong product. Not exactly worthy of the all caps headline to this post.. I mean it's still a chump thing to do but I've replaced wrong orders before and never got the original wrong item back. I just took it as a lesson not to screw up my orders in the first place..
I don't know the guy, and I'm not defending him but probably best not to post Paypal addresses and postal addresses on a public forum.
As I mentioned, there was a mix-up. But it still doesn't excuse him stealing two toys when we have refunded for one of them out of good faith. To say he is too lazy to send them and using it as an excuse for ripping us off???? No, we aren't a gallery, just a small outfit starting out, so as you can imagine losing the money on two Rees is a big deal to us. As they are not cheap toys. Glenn, it does sound like you are defending him and it sounds like you must be rich not to worry about losing £180+. Thank you for being so constructive. Is that how you do business?
Anytime I think of a bf/gf team scamming in Maryland I think of Sam. In fact, I think Glen Arm is the exact part of MD he was from. He also had a real love for Rees.. Sean Darok doesn't return anything through Google, but apparently Darok is some Klingon name or some such shit. Sean,, Sam. Hmmm. I'm not sure Sam is still up to his old tricks, or even still alive. Not saying this is what happened, but it does seem a little suspect, just sayin.
If I screw up an order - I send a replacement and don't accuse the customer of being a theif. I also don't post private information from a business transaction on a public forum. That's how I do business.. It's a shitty situation that this guy is ghosting you but this thread might not be the right way of going about fixing the situation. Have you been in contact with Paypal? I understand your situation is a bit different to that and I can sympathize with it, you guys being a new business and dealing with high-end toys. Just trying to see if there's any other explanation for this. Regardless of whatever the circumstances are - posting someone's address and paypal info is not a good thing to be doing on SB or any other public forum.
Glenn, he has played the paypal thing like a fiddle. We have tried that already. Giving his details out???? Couldn't give a f*ck mate. Sounds like the dude is a serial offender. So f*ck him.
Def NOT Sean. Just Busizem running his same tired scams... while attempting to drag Sean's name through the dirt in the process
It is... and extremely unfortunate that I share Busizem/Googly Eyes/thetoyf*cker/etc's name. Been a while since he crawled back into the spotlight. Important reading (albeit somewhat dated) for anyone new to the hobby or unfamiliar with the stories: http://skullbrain.org/bb/index.php?...-seller-googlyeyes11-aka-samuel-dewitt.46841/
Getting a ree for free from a mix up?! Then being too lazy and thus screwing another collector over by not shipping their toy after being paid the shipping!? This is likely Sam but even if not, fuck that person and they deserve to be called out. They shouldn't even have accepted the free figure. People with integrity would still pay for the item. It was a mistake, nothing someone should be out so much money for.
Too lazy? Maybe you aren't understanding what Vinyl is saying. The thief bought two expensive toys and one was the wrong color so he filed a claim. Vinyl refunded him for one toy, sent him extra money to ship that toy to another customer and so he could get the right color himself. The thief kept BOTH toys, kept the paypal refund, kept the extra shipping money then got a third toy in the mail from the other customer and kept that as well. Agreeing to the refund and the exchange with the other customer and saying all the right things until he got his other free figure then vanishing doesn't make him "lazy" it makes him a thief.
I concur with pyroatheart1.3 and gazpacho. That's exactly the first name that came to mind when vinylhammer mentioned that a payment was sent to a girlfriend in Maryland. The Glen Arm region no less. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Busizem and Sam one in the same; along with a laundry list of aliases that have been well documented by our community.
