Various vintage Crimbo badges . . . 1970's and 80's mostly. These were amongst a big batch i bought this year. Merry Christmas!
20p at a boot-sale. I thought this was from the 'Real Ghostbusters' toy line by Kenner but i cannot find it online in any of the databases . . . anyone recognise it? Its stamped with '1989 Columbia Pictures'.
It is indeed from The Real Ghostbusters. This fella was called the 'Galloping Ghoul Ghost' (weren't those toy names in the 80s just the greatest?). He came with the Ecto-3 set:
That was one of the Best action figure lines ever. I picked this egon up last year. Picture from figurerealm.com
No idea. He's pretty cool, though. 3.5" high. He had nubs on the bottom of his feet, so obviously slotted into something. I sliced them off so he can stand up. 20p at a boot-sale. Totally reminds me of Link from the Legend of Zelda series . . .
Found another Eye-ball (one on the right). It doesn't light up like the other one. Made of nice thick material . . . 10p in a charity shop.
I've never found more than one Penny Racer at a time. On Saturday i found 3 in one box . . . 20p each in a charity shop. Swweeet Takara / Blue Box Takara / Early Learning Mushroom Garden plush £1 charity shop White Ranger Bandai 1993 20p charity shop
Mini Space Blaster 3.5" long with 8 different sound effects and flashing light patterns. These originally come in a pack of two (red & blue), sold in those 'executive' toy novelty gift shops . . . I found this one at the bottom of a toy box in a charity shop. Its tiny and cute. 20p.
NutronBotix 1985 (No idea of manufacturer) This was from a boot-sale and cost me £1.50 It originally came in a box with a shield, weapons to hold and the legs can be disconnected and replaced with a vehicle . . . . the extra bits and car were nowhere to be seen but for £1.50 i'm not too bothered. Here it is complete:
Yep, lots of wandering but finding the occasional gem for very little money keeps you looking. For any collector that is addictive! I live central in a city which helps. I cannot wait for boot-sale season to start up again. . . . that's where I find the best stuff. Most charity shops have eBay pickers who syphon off the collectables before they hit the stores. Still, the odd thing slips through, I've been collecting vintage mini-size Asterix books and I found a few more of those the other day.
Takara Transformers 1984. I think these are called 'Topspin' or 'Twist'. Both were a few pence at boot-sales. I think maybe the red one is a bootleg because it doesn't have the official Takara stamp like the other one and i cant find it online. Not sure . . . .
Found another Turtle for this set. I've figured-out they are chewing gum containers made by Topps in the US. Interesting to note Michelangelo's Nunchucks have been completely erased from the sculpt so he is holding nothing. This must of been around the time when they were changed to 'Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles' here in the UK. Obviously other Ninja weapons were OK, just the Nunchucks were deemed offensive . . . . . i think it was those and throwing stars that were banned at the time. Hoping to find the fourth turtle at some point . . . .
Boot sale season is finally here This one was £1. Not much about them online so it was pretty sweet to find one on the card. Trendmasters 1993.
Some more Choro-Q / Penny Racers at a boot sale. Unprecedented five in one box. The kid was asking 20p each for them. They all have dings here and there but who cares for 20p . . . Takara / Blue Box The teensy-weensy motorbike is pretty cool. Friction drive. Also 20p but from a different seller at the same boot.
Thundersaurus Megazord from "Power Rangers Dino Thunder". I didn't know what it was either when a friend turned his over to me after his son "outgrew" it. Not too long after, I Santa-Claused it to a wee PR fan at Christmas. It was almost as big as he was, which he thought was awesome, as did I. Have you measured him? I want to say that he was right up there with my Jumbo Shogun Godzilla. Maybe taller. I should've compared them while I still had him.
^^ His head looks upside down! Thanks for the info. I shouldn't be surprised its from Power Rangers, they are insanely popular toys. I see tons at boot-sales but i only buy ones that interest me . . . . i think some of these below are very likely Power Rangers related too. As for my 'Megazord', he's only about 5" tall which is nowhere near the size of the one you gave away! £1 each at a boot. I like the way the smaller one folds into a back-pack on the larger one. . . . and two more cool little bootlegs for my ever growing collection. 20p each.
