I have to say that I am more excited about each of Lulu's Grody Shogun releases than I have been for any toy since.... well, since the Debris Japan Vinyl. lol OK- so that is not that long. But c'mon, what's not to love about the crooked nosed, ugly-cute face of Ojisan? Or the chunky, angular sculpt of his Karakuri and the Monsters? And the paint work is pretty fuckin tight so far. I hope to see many pages of Grody pics compiled here in the future. Please share yours! I will start it off with my new arrivals and first Grody Shogun toys.
Wow, I am really liking that grey vinyl on those monsters. I don't think I saw any of it before in the preview photos or pics that others have posted so far. I prefer the WF versions of the other guys too, great score. Love the shine on Karakuri's rough head. You should post some pics of the Ojisan's rear eyes too, they are all unique.
Here you go ultrakaiju: PS- The grey vinyl you posted about is actually the light blue vinyl. The same color as the head of winu's killer Monster above. Maybe the background is throwing it off a little. @ Winu- Nice one! The potato-esque body style on yours is cool.

The random colors sort of remind me of old single color Marx monster toys. Every sculpt came in about 4 basic colors.
Yes, I think the Marx connection was intentional as a bit of tribute, but I am just guessing here. They really look good together, and, in that way, I don't think he can hope for higher praise.
We're working with Grody on some really cool stuff. Look for an early September release on KK, with roll out info coming in 7-10 days or so. Couple pics of my Groditude: edit: I just want to make clear these aren't preview figures of the upcoming Grody x KK releases. They're just some fun mashups Luke gave me at his studio. (I chose the pieces for the completed one. :p ) Luke handed me the uncuts as we were heading out the door, as a gift for KK Irene. We haven't got an exacto knife, so we haven't cut and assembled them yet.
Hi all! New to the boards and really love the grody shoguns! I saw them popping up on lulubell a while back, had them in my cart, hesitated for 5 mins and the next moment they are gone ! Arghhhhh one of my biggest toy regrets, can't wait for the new GS x KK release! Awesome price point + Funky sculpt + Fresh concept = Winner !

Hi Melek, Thanks for the welcome mate, there is enuff grody love to spread around heh . Yesterday's treasure hunt was crazy too, also got 2 in my cart but in the last min keyed in the wrong password, and when I finally got it thru, I was cartjacked, tok bout lightning striking twice ha (the 1st miss was for the ojisan drop) ! How I wish more are made for regular releases, sighhhhh . I'm now in the funny position of being a big grody shogun fan without owning any of the toy ha!
Don't worry about that, same goes for most of the rest of us too And GS is fairly new on the seen, with lots of figures in the pipeline. So I expect we will all get a taste soon enough (if not our full fix). Welcome to the board, and the brutal addictions that come with it too! Also, for the next time, please, by all means hesitate, think things through fully before making any rash decisions.....
