More specifically the 1933 film depiction of the monster. Asking on behalf of a client. I've read a number of articles and there appears to be some confusion surrounding ownership and I can't seem to find a straight answer. I've attempted to contact both Warner Bros. and Universal for clarification but just received a reply from the former who said they were only able to grant licensing for film clips and still images. The closest thing I could find to an associated contemporary product were action figures by NECA that have no noticeable copyright information printed on the boxes (unless it is just extremely well hidden). Anyone have a clue?
Oh, thanks a lot for the heads up! I thought they were completely defunct and had sold all their rights away but it seems they still exist in some form. I’ll definitely try getting in touch.
