I'm surprised people don't like Sedaris' character. I definitely do. Plus she confirmed the Jawas are anthropomorphic rats theory for the Disney canon.
I think it's telling that the non-Boba eps have been the best. That said, I have enjoyed the last 2 a lot.
I enjoyed it too, but honestly if I never see another Jedi again, I'm fine with it. The Force is the least interesting thing about Star Wars for me, and like magic in every other story, it ends up being an excuse for all sorts of lazy storytelling. Spoiler The part with Luke presenting Grogu with his choice bugged me. This is a toddler, it can't even say the words "yes" or "no" and you're trying to describe this complex idea to it? Didn't Episode 8 Luke talk about how the Jedi's focus on a lack of attachment was one of the things that led to their downfall? Maybe Mandalorian-era Luke hasn't figured this out yet, but he did turn his father away from the Emperor by instilling an emotional attachment in Vader. Is attachment really such a bad thing, Disney? Don't you want kids to be attached to merchandise?"
Wow. https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/tv/a38971109/cgi-luke-skywalker-mandalorian-book-of-boba-fett/ Still don't want to see him again, though.
Well, the finale wasn't completely stupid, it was just mostly stupid. Spoiler The battle was so poorly executed and just reinforced what a boob Boba is. You have two separate forces coming in from different parts of the town, fleeing ambushes. Do you encourage them to take up separate positions, possibly flank the soldiers that are pinning you down, so you can have a chance to regroup, rally, and perhaps take the office? "What? No, that would make too much sense. Let's all get pinned down together, shall we? This landspeeder is big enough to shield all of us. Also, when we finally run away, make sure you run right down the center of the street to make yourself an easier target." Also, after having killing who knows how many civilians and demolishing the town with robots and giant monsters, why does anyone want any crime bosses there, Pykes, Hutts, Boba, or otherwise? If Boba gave a shit about these people he would have had stayed in his castle and ensured the battle would take place there. If I lived there, the logical thing to do would be to getting attention of those New Republic X-Wings for help. I was looking forward to the next season of The Mandalorian but less so now that he and Grogu are back together. Now the writers can more easily put Mando into situations where Grogu is being held hostage. Now Grogu can bail out Mando with The Force again when the next boss monster beats him down. Say something nice, Roger. It was fun to see a Rancor jumping around Mos Espa like the Cloverfield Monster. It was fun to see Boba finally use his suit. I was thankful that Max Rebo wasn't blown up in that club. I was thankful that the post-credits sequence didn't have Kira from the Han Solo movie, as rumored.
Everyone shot at the laser proof shields nonstop, and nobody fired a single shot after the shields went down.
They probably wasted all of their ammo trying to dismantle a shield that was totally unbreakable... at some point you just gotta be like, Well, that there is an impenetrable shield... let's not waste our artilleries on something that we cannot defeat! It was pretty laughable though
I was sitting around my toy room today when I realized it’s time to take down my Star Wars figures, my Fett helmet, disassemble my LEGO razorcrest and UCS Slave-1. I’m so disappointed with Star Wars and how they handled my favorite character that I just don’t want to see anything with Fett or the Mandalorian right now. Tomorrow It’s all going in a Tupperware bin and into long term storage.
Spoilers for Boba Finale!!!! Pros, Boba wore his helmet more than previous episodes Rode the rancor Boba Actually killed people ( not enough) The rancor ate a dude ( he should’ve ate waaay more) Cade Bane and Boba show down Cons Boba and Mando fighting in the kill box, with no cover???? Grogu had to save everyone, even though 2 of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy are there The rancor should’ve ate more people Cad Bain dead Cobb vanth brought back from the dead? The episode ended with boba without his helmet on, all smiling like an idiot walking down the road. There was waaay to much non-helmeted boba in this show. I’m done with Robert Rodriguez directed anything.I have a hard time thinking Feloni signed off on these Boba episodes. He must’ve been out sick.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Glup Shitto? I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. https://gizmodo.com/obi-wan-kenobi-episode-4-tera-sinube-glup-shitto-clone-1849042821
Have any of you ever seen the show? I think it was released in 1985, I had no idea about this even though I was a massive Star Wars fan as a kid. I tried watching it with my son a few days back and the first episode is absolutely horrible. Even my son was like “Dad, I don’t wanna watch this anymore.“ Maybe just the first episode sucked? Has anyone watched this series? I’ll tell you what though, the theme song is pretty damn catchy. It totally reminds me of The Police.
We even had the treat of Bob Gulledge playing The Mighty Wurlitzer Organ before the film! https://byrdtheatre.org/programming/the-mighty-wurlitzer-organ/
If you buy one Retro Star Wars figure, this is the one you want. $9 for Cyber Monday: https://www.amazon.com/star-wars-3-75-inch-scale-mandalorian-f4461/dp/b09gyqyzp9/
That's 100% the reason I picked it up as well. Mouse Droids (and any droids really) make my heart explode with joy.
NED-B is also a good one marked down to $9: https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-3-75-Inch-Scale-Multicolored-F5774/dp/B09WWYKLKR/ And there are "used" Boba/Bossk 2-packs for $20 which I suspect are ones with damaged packaging: https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Collection-3-75-Inch-Scale-F5562/dp/B09QB956BX/ The retro Star Wars figures are made in Vietnam now, which is kind of wild.
