^ Ahhhhhhh. Yep, that tracks. Thanks.

Pretty sure my impulse ceiling is $6.99 when it comes to such plastics, hence my vast collection of exactly zero ReActionables. More power to those of you with heavy coin sacks!

Works out to being $26 each here in Australia (and then shipping on top).. sounds wild, but the concept of this series is pretty special so I buy up the characters that I remember fondly

I'm guessing they are doing a preorder to gauge how much interest there is so they can determine a rough run size. The black version was announced as an EU tour exclusive yesterday so I imagine these will be out soon.

Something i really think Super 7 NEEDS to take into consideration is some kind of clam shell packaging to keep reaction figures damage and dust free from harm. As much as i love displaying mine im in constant worry of the packaging getting damaged or bent card backs. Make them an option for ppl that would like to buy them to put even older or rarer card backs outta harms way.

Yeah pretty much but a bit cheaper if they can get them made. I'd actually like to see how Super 7 would make them in general.

These Super7 Star Trek figures are disappointing.

Most of the work seems like it went into Wesley and the Borg, but when did they ever show a Borg that had two normal humanoid hands? It surely would have driven up the price for an individual carded figure, but a Borg with alternate arm attachments like the G.I. Joe B.A.T. could have been really fun. Or, do it as a "Build-a-Borg" deluxe figure.

Plus, if I want to get really pedantic (showing my rotten roots as a Star Trek fan), the card shows a movie-style Borg, not the simpler TV style, and it has a head that doesn't even match the figure (artificial eye on the right side instead of left like the figure, forehead exposed, no hoses going from the head to the chest, etc.):

The Galoob figures weren't perfect, but the Starfleet characters didn't have the degree of "sameness" that the Super7 ones do. There's wrinkling in the uniforms, they have slightly different builds, heights, and stances, etc.:

It looks like Super7's Reaction figures have regressed back into the cookie cutter approach that Funko applied when they had the brand. The Universal Monsters and Planet of the Apes ones definitely had that "soul of Kenner" feel, and I know that those lines were hand-sculpted instead of being done on computers. The Back to the Future and Mars Attacks ones look "right" for the time period, and there are probably others, but everything else feels very sterile.

I do understand that Super7 has become a mass-market brand in the past few years, supplying big box stores like Target, so the demands of filling that channel with product are likely very different from when they kicked off the line with those original Alien figures. It's just disappointing to see the 80s action figure craftsmanship that you associate with that Kenner-style Reaction logo fade away.

I'm with you on this Roger. I was pumped for a Next Gen series but these are so weak. You're way better off snatching up the playmates versions for cheap on card, they look way better.

I'm collecting some reaction stuff, mainly hip hop figures, killer bootlegs and thundercats, but there is definitely a lot of underwhelming stuff (really don't like the peanuts line of reaction either, which was also excited for). A pity for sure, because the potential is massive, and when S7 do it right (My Count Draco and Old Dirty Bastard are some of my favourite figures), it's awesome.

The reaction line has always been awesome because of the exposure but the toys and quality themselves are super cheap. They are always super stiff, cheap feeling but with that being said they provide an opportunity for many people to own and collect toys like they used to with star wars, gijoe, dungeons and dragons etc.
I'm always excited to see the next line up but know that the quality is going to be sub par.

I agree about the quality, and this is why I have always felt like the line is a waste of decent ideas/licenses. BUT, the new Godzilla is pretty damn perfect. The plastic is different, it’s actually a durable chunky boi. I wish they could give all the reaction figures the same treatment. Until then, I consider them packaged wall hangings, not toys.

Has the quality been bad lately? I have one post-Funko figure, the Creature From the Black Lagoon, and it feels sturdy like an 80s figure. I remember a significant amount of the Funko ones were in pieces in the bubble. Has the same thing happened with the post-Funko ones too?

Oh I am so behind I didn’t even know they got rid of Funko. I only ever had a Vincent Vega from about 5 years ago… I am definitely not informed enough to be making conclusions lol

The resculpted Creature from the Black Lagoon has become one of my all-time faves.

I had the good fortune of heading into the 16th St store yesterday. I hadn't been in there for a long time but I was really impressed with what they had there and the quality of the toys. They are doing a good job with their ReAction line. I picked up the SD Chicken, go Padres!

I still need to order the Shogun Goji, so this revamped Creature, if both are still available, will be ordered!!!

That Shogun Godzilla sold out in a few hours, so you're at the mercy of eBay scalpers now.

The original Creature and the Revenge version with the chains are still out there and plentiful, for the original retail price. If you go to Target you may even find the one that Walks Among Us.

Someone pointed out that the Universal Monsters cardback is now missing the Metaluna Mutant. Maybe the license on that character changed, who knows. Anyway, I am guessing that the Metaluna Mutant Reaction Figures that are already out there are the last ones we are going to see.
