I enjoyed the he man reboot. It's not genius or amazing but it was a fun idea. Surprised and kind of not surprised, that there is so much anger over the show. People get so angry at shows. A bit nuts in my opinion. There have been two times I've been super angry with a series. The first time was Matrix three. The second was the final season of game of thrones. And I was only angry for like an hour. I couldn't imagine tweeting death threats to creators because it didn't work the way I wanted.

Yeah, I've been disappointed by a show. But angry? Not that I recall. There is so much to watch nowadays I can hardly keep up, even during the lockdown ffs. If you don't like a show, stop watching it and move on. People act like they own a 'property' just because it was a fave of theirs growing up. To that I say ... get a life, you fucking nerd.

It makes no sense at all. Before the pandemic I was in a bar with a couple friends enjoying lunch and a full fledged fist fight broke out at the table next to us over the firing of Roseanne Barr from her tv show. Of all the possible things to be outraged by that has to be the stupidest one I have ever seen.

I watched He-Man and I thought it was alright. Better than I expected but it was so damn short and ended very abruptly I was annoyed.

Reservation Dogs on Hulu is the funniest show I've seen in years. Absolute slice of childhood stuff. I have noooo idea if it is too culturally specific to be appreciated by everyone though.

Couple in, and totally agree. Most all the characters are cracking me up. Soundtrack is dope too.

Yeah, we started watching both Cherry and Res Dogs recently. Really liked e1 of Res Dogs.
Also been watching 100 Foot Wave doc on HBO. Pretty interesting, and some of the footage is just incredible.
Wrapped White Lotus last night. Really enjoyed it, but
was disappointed the newly wed wife went back to her husband.

That was my favorite part of the show! In my opinion it showed that she was exactly who she tried to convince herself that she wasn't. I mean she married that total douchebag quite obviously at least in part because she was poor and he was rich then magically she realized that it was all a mistake after someone told her stealing and rewriting articles wasn't journalism? She wanted to pretend she was better than someone who would marry for looks and money and realized that she wasn't. The whole show seemed to go out of it's way to make everyone very flawed and in the end the only "good guy" was the awkward abused geek kid.

I took her going back to him as her doing so due to fearing for her life. She saw her husband murder the last person he had beef with, and didn't want to be next.

If you have Disney+ and any interest in Marvel at all, then definitely check out "What If?" - it's really quite good. It explores alternate universes in the Marvel MCU where things happened a different way. It's animated but in a fairly realistic way. The most recent episode explored "What If T'Challa Became a Star Lord?". I think it was the last acting gig that Chadwick did actually. It was really cool!

Just started Squid Game on Netflix . . . not seen it mentioned anyplace (although that's not to say it hasn't) and figure it might be of interest to some of you freaks!

    Hunger Games x Battle Royale.

Cocaine Cowboys on Netflix has been fun so far.

Wu Tang: An American Saga Season 2 has been absolutely fantastic.

American Horror Story: Double Feature was pretty great, and a massive improvement over the atrocity that was American Horror Stories.

The Creepshow series on Shudder has been impressive and a lot of fun. Each episode tells two stories, and out of six episodes(12 stories) only one sucked. A second season just started, so I’ll be diggin’ into that soon.

Law & Order: SVU and Organized crime both just started new seasons, so I’ll be catchin’ up on those soon as well.

Starts a little wonky but gets really good imho.
If you liked it you might want to give Alice in Borderlands a try.

I finished Alice in Borderland because I had invested the time, but by the last 2 or 3 episodes it was a struggle to hit play on them. I thought Sweet Home which releases around the same time, was much better.

Also started Midnight Mass last night and really dug episode 1.

Midnight Mass looks great. That’s another one I’ve yet to start, but am excited to. Same with the Monsters Inside: The 24 Faces of Billy Milligan documentary.

I made it through all of Midnight Mass this weekend. I was fairly disappointed, but I also think it has moments of greatness. I felt Hamish Linklater's Father Paul is perfect, though. A Stephen King movie character, adapted outside of Stephen King's head. I could watch him all day.

Watched Squid Game last week and really enjoyed it(binged it in a day), and I watched the first episode of Raised By Wolves on HBO+. Hard for me not to be interested in a Ridley Scott directed television series.

Raised by Wolves has a really strong start with those first two episodes.

Anyone else excited for The Many Saints of Newark on HBO Max?

@eckotyper Man, the actors they got to play the Clan has been so goddamn amazing to watch! Especially Divine, ODB(his own son; perfect), Raekwon and Method. Incredible play out of how they came together in real-time.

agreed, and last nights episode, was just simply fire... I have the upmost respect for producers that have that knowledge and that history embedded in their dome which record they need for that 1-2 second riff to spark a idea that becomes legendary... SOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH

@eckotyper Man, yesterday’s episode had me bobbin’ my head to the bests pretty much the entire 45 minutes. The way they portrayed Rza’s creative process in his head was incredible. Especially with how he spoke to the drummers and asked them for the change ups. The verse writing in the studio, how each member laid down their vocals and how quickly they came up with their verses(sans Ghost). The black hoodies at the end…OOF. I know Rza’s production company is a big part of the series, as well as Rza himself and Method bein’ executive producers. So I’m not surprised at how well it’s bein’ done, but I’m appreciating the hell out of it.

Bumped into this one called Oats Studios: epi 1 & 2 looked delicious. Aliens & hyper realistic gore. Watch it while eating breakfast.
Also, I had fun with Post Mortem: who knew the Norwegians had a knack for funny? Tag line is "No one dies in Skarnes".
