Pretty tired of toy makers trying to recreate the fucked up dolls that movies tell them serial killers would have made out of their sister's dolls as children. All blood stains and nails and burn marks and genitals. It's not edgy or creepy or scary. Just fucking boring.

@Waterbear Extremely boring. I’m wondering if it’s a regional thing with influence, or what’s pop culturally big? The paint work is usually somewhat complex and, in some cases, pretty damn good! But the toys themselves, I’m sorry to sound elitist when I say, just seem like wasted material and resources and time.

    totally boring and heavy handed.
Should the stomach have boils? Make it six and have three of them ooze. Don't forget to also add another monster popping out of the boil and have a scar, no make that three scars crossing all over the stomach. Any space left? Great! Make the nipples into dicks and lets make the spine a vagina.
I'd love to see some smoother creations. Less is more.

You clearly missed the foot-eye which of course also has a nail in it. For consistency I guess.

@hellopike Fantastic movie, and still holds up SO well! Despite the dozens of times I’ve seen it I still get jitters here and there from some scenes. Scared the living hell out of me as a kid!

Are people actually buying these toys that are all iterations of the same realistic/gross out gore idea? I can't imagine there's actually a demand.

I've seen many, many of these types of toys with 'sold out thanks' type posts. Regardless of price too. It seems the indie sofubi collector base has swelled considerably in recent years. There's a shit ton of money being spent on the fugly ... good luck to em if that's their thing.

The rapidity of new makers popping up is incredible, and many of them are churning out a lot of runs very consistently ...

    Vinyl Bayou.

I'm sure a lot of people think this is 'fresh' ;) ... I'll just say in my opinion whatever it looked like before this 'commission', it was way better.

I get why folk do this to toy trains and trucks but it looks awful on anything else.

I saw that one on eBay and wondered who would do that. I think he was trying to emulate Sucklord's AT-ATs, which I think are well-done.

    I think that's by a different toy ruiner, its a growing hobby/hustle.

Yeah, at least the AT-ATs are a form of transport so it looks appropriate, and he's done them with style.
